Texas Dime fans demand statue

According to Revolver magazine, two PANTERA fans Â'” Houston's Joey Riordan and Toronto's Mangra Â'” are trying to get a commemorative "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott statue erected in his hometown in Dallas. As inspiration, they cite existing monuments to Jimi Hendrix (in Seattle), Elvis Presley (in Memphis), and THIN LIZZY frontman Phil Lynott (Dublin, Ireland). "Getting Dimebag Darrell a statue in Dallas matters," Riordan tells Revolver. "That was, his memory will live on."

He disserves one..... Dime was a phenomenal musician
But even more so he was a great human being. He all ways
represented the Lone Star State. I wish Vinnie would put
out a CD of the early years. They always where a great band.
Maybe not all 3 CD's but certainly a best of the first 4 would Rule.
Songs like Heavy Metal Rules & Will meet again,Power Metal ,I am the night.
Another thing that would be cool is the Music from Sebastian's Rock Buds
came out. Dime,Sebastian Rex,Bam Bam & Snake. Got great reviews for that show.

my buddy and i have been talking about making a road trip to see his grave, who knows if we'll ever get around to doing it or not

When I get some extra cash I want to hed out to see Dime as well.
Be sure, that if you and your friend do decide to go, stop at Vinnie's place...The Clubhouse. Strippers, and metal music...What's better than that?

How did I miss this one. Dime. Shame he was taken the way he was and so young. Dime was one of a kind kick ass mother fucker. His riffs could kick you right in the sack. Been listening a lot too Rebel Meets Rebel lately. Hadn't listened to it in a while. Still love that album. Phil and Vinnie should bury the hatchet.
