Indeed.
Although when you consider that modern movies compete with "I'll just download a boot" or "wait for the dvd so I don't have to deal with people at the cinema" or "it looks better on my bluray" or "I want the new X box game" - I think titanic has done surprisingly well on that list - although it's far from my favourite film.
All I mean is in 1977 when SW came out there were a lot less options for spending disposable income on entertainment than there are today.

Lol...you're right...I think it was 1999 I got my first DVD player come to think of it!!!! In 1995 I was probably wishing I could afford a laser disc player hahaha
