I kinda skipped over it (never been a diehard Costner guy, i'm more of a Kurt Russell guy).

But when I heard the news on The Insider yesterday saying it got over 14 million viewers for basic cable, I freaked out "no fucking way". Sopranos, Walking Dead, Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, Justified none of them have ever even touched those numbers. Not even close.

I might give it a chance after all the positive reviews, plus digging westerns.

I wanted to watch this and forgot about it on the night it premiered and I tuned in with only 15 minutes left. Doh!  I'm, not one for downloading thinsg, I never even use my pvr so I doubt I'll ever watch it now.  Kinda like how I was excited for the series 24 and I missed the first episode so said fuck it to the entire series. never seen one episode 16

Netflix has 24, the entire series for streaming in case your interested.

Although I would recommend skipping the final season. It was one of those "it's just over" kinda seasons where the show stayed one year too long, and they tried to re-invent it with a new cast.

Series finale was decent though. The way they ended it in the final minutes was kinda touching.

Supposedly the 24 film is being made right now to pick up where the series left off.

I guess I'll have to eventually get inot this netflix thing. Everyone I knwo uses it. I've never sued it once. I'm not much of a tv guy so when i wanna watch tv I tend to enjoy channel surfing rather than sitting down to watch a single show. I probably watch maybe an hour of tv a day and it's usually sports highlights. I watcha  little more obvioulsy if there's agame on.  I go to a lot of movies though.

I watched Hatfields & McCoys this weekend.

Great. Best TV mini-series in YEARS!

Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton, and Tom Berenger all turned in Emmy-worthy performances.

And I actually thought Berenger was better than Paxton. He played a character, unseen from him before. Accent was totally different, he was a piece of fuckin' garbage (throwback to Platoon, and away from all his hero action roles), and behind the makeup and character you barely even knew it was the Berenger from the past. Best role that dude has played in years. Paxton was the same story. You're so used to Paxton being given simpleton roles that don't really stretch him. Might be Paxton's finest hour.

Costner, although he was good (never been a fan), played his best role since Dances With Wolves, and at the same exact time... Costner plays Costner. It's kinda the same dude in everything.
