In an interview with music blog site Attention Deficit Delirium, Hagar says that he would like to be in charge of an original Guns N Roses reunion.
"They've proved it again and again and again that it ain't [about] the money," observed Hagar. "They just don't get along because Axl goes out for a lot less money with his version of Guns N' Roses, and Slash goes out for a lot less money with Velvet Revolver or by himself. The amount of money they could make if they got it all back together, made a great record and toured the world would probably be as much as the Rolling Stones [get], and for them not to do it, it obviously ain't about the money. Because they could do it. I would manage them. I'd be their manager and make sure they got the right deal from all the promoters. They could be the biggest band in the world if they wanted to."

the threats people keep making about dj ashba writing a GnR album actually have spun me round & now i'm totally pro-reunion.
but only if they write a new album. a slash & axl GnR album is what the world needs right now.

I'm not Anti-a DJ album like john is...but I must say if a reunion was to happen i want it to be for recording music not just playing live...live is fun but it's over after it happens...a CD we'd have for all time....
As for this sammy thing...strikes me more as him just giving his opinion on it rather than this being a legit offer to manage it...sounds to me like a little tounge in cheek - like the "hey i'd do it for a slice of the pie" kinda joke...but maybe I'm wrong.
Funny thing is - it's not entirely illogical - he's right about it not being about the money - and he's been in similar situations with VH, and we also know that he can cut goodbusiness deals - his Vodka stuff has made him a very rich man. So i'd actually trust him....but yeah...i think he was just messing around....as james said...not something that would really happen!

Like he said they'll never do it for the money. If they reunite it'll because they want to give it a go for real. I think they've all made it clear it isn't about the money. What I disgaree with is Hagar's opinion that they could be the biggest band in the world again. Would never happen, could never happen.

I do believe that. There's nobody out there to really rival them, and Metallica's live shows today are pretty much on par with new Guns' live shows.

^ Agreed...when you get one of those nights when Axl's on top form...and Slash is also on top form...it's pretty hard to top that kind of firepower.
As they've shown for the past decade...even alone they can match most regular artists.

It could never happen in the past, but the days of huge cross appeal bands are pretty much over, and Gn'R is one of the biggest and last of that era. They could easily be up there with Metallica and maybe U2. Apart from them, who is there?
