I cannot imagine her having a country hit. It will flat out amaze me if it happens.
I don't know, is it any different than Carrie Underwood, or any other in the line of smoking hot chicks who hire songwriters and musicians to make it happen.
Pop Country is currently almost exactly like the genre that Jessica Simpson originally came up in. I think the only issue she would have (getting a hit, not making a good album) is if Nashville doesn't want her to come in after after already getting notoriety somewhere else. I think a lot of that industry is against outsiders.

I'm not much into country other than a few songs by people like Johnny Cash but I can definitely see her doing country. In my opinion most of the music I've heard belonging to the country genre (outside of the obvious legends) is very simplistic .... simplicity should serve her intellect quite well. Hell, she can't do much worse than she already has...right?
