SLASH To Perform With BLACK EYED PEAS During Super Bowl Halftime Show? - Feb. 2, 2011
According to The Associated Press, VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash will make a surprise appearance Sunday during the Super Bowl halftime show. Also scheduled to appear is R&B star Usher.
Slash and Usher will reportedly perform with the BLACK EYED PEAS, who are the main halftime act for Sunday's NFL championship game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
Slash collaborated with BLACK EYED PEAS singer Fergie's (a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson) on his first true solo album, simply entitled "Slash".

Although I don't really approve of The Black Eyed Peas playing the Super Bowl, hey the kids love'em. It'll be cool to see Slash tearing it up during the halftime show. And watching Fergie isn't the worst thing in the world either.

Yeah, what are you gonna do?
It'd be alot nicer if the REAL Guns N' Roses was doing the half-time show, following acts like The Who, the Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, etc.
Instead, this is as good as it's gonna get.

That's how I choose to view it. I can understand some people thinking it's lame. Listen, I'm far from a Black Eyed Peas fan. But it's not like this is anything new. Slash has played with them before, and I'm sure he will again. He's friends with them. So I don't see the harm. It makes the performance more enjoyable in my eyes. Now I don't have to fixate on Fergie the entire time.
As long as it's not as disgraceful as that performance Slash did at the Grammy's with Jamie Foxx and company. Now THAT was god awful! This can't possibly be that bad.
