Re: HBO's A Game of Thrones
I don't have HBO at school but I'm going to keep an eye on this. If it gets good reviews, I'll be sure to spend a day catching up on it once I'm home for the summer.
Re: HBO's A Game of Thrones
The only thing that's tricky about stuff like this, is the media has a bad habit of cumming all over HBO series, when they're not that good.
Boardwalk Empire - perfect example. Here's a very mediocre show, with flashes of brilliance that needs ALOT OF WORK going into Season 2... but just won a Golden Globe for Best TV Drama.
Justified was a FAR better breakout series in 2010 than Boardwalk. But without that HBO pedigree... no one cares.
Re: HBO's A Game of Thrones
well judgning by the novel it was based on....and seeing the produciton diary videos i'd have to say this television series is gonna be awesome

Re: HBO's A Game of Thrones
Hey, I am totally jacked for this series.
In a twist of irony, I have been looking for a series to fill in between the Wheel of Time books, and I stumbled upon this with some recommendations. I had started the Game of Thrones before I knew that they were making a television series, so I am excited for april.
Jamester, this is the the first book called the Game of Thrones from the series a Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. There are four books out now, with 3 more to come, but this series is strictly based on the First book, and I highly recommend it.
