the positive reviews are unanimously more objective and acually point out the reasons they like and dislike certain aspects to the song.

the negative reviews are shorter much more subjective and irresponsible.

My negative review is that it went from a great song to a good song. I agree that the layered vocals are bad and (not to beat a dead horse) Bumble's guitar gives it the exact same vibe of Shackler's Revenge and rips out the heart and stifles the
coolness of the song. It doesn't match.

The slow, trudging, raunchy bass and grungy/dostorted vocals in the demo, which made the song fantastic, are gone. Now it just feels like its been tinkered and produced to death.

The demo: 8.5
The single: 5.9

Listen to this at 1hr 26 for the track and 1hr 39 for the feedback. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00f0z6j

Radio 2 is one of the Uk's most listened to radio stations (if not the most listened to), it's also very general, it's not a rock radio station it plays all sorts. Overall this track is being very well recieved from what I can tell.

What a joke - they are more objective?  Give me a break.  The only opinion that is valid is the one that agrees with you?  Bullshit.  It's funny that the same people that claim every opinion is valid when it works for them are now claiming the exact opposite when it works against them.  You are all a bunch of hypocrits.

The song is in the top 5 because the internet idiots are plugging it, not because the general public wants to hear it.  You want proof?  Go to EVERY GnR forum and you'll find at least 1 thread pushing people to vote for the songs and followed by posts of people proud that they did so.  But all those votes in your mind are real and people really want to hear the song?  Now who's being irresponsible?

That's pretty standard for any band when they release a single. They're fans of the band.

Lets leave the name calling out of this.

That's a fair point, but the track is most certainly getting attention. Not just us forum junkies either. Its getting tons of listens on sites like youtube, myspace, and other music related sites. That cant be denied.

However, we are now in the curiosity stage. Tons of people are going to check it out. We'll know in a couple weeks how much staying power this track really has.

That's not name calling, that's accurately reflecting their stance.  It's being hypocritical, thus making the people doing it hypocrits.  It is the same as calling them GnR fans, unless you consider that name calling as well.  I could have called them all kinds of names, but left that part out.

But who is listening?  That is the question, and I assure you that John Q Public didn't type Guns N Roses into the youtube search box to look for the song...it's people that are already fans.  So they are at best hoping to keep the existing fans, but have no hope of getting a mass amount of new fans.  More realistically old fans are going to be apathetic and the new fans will never hear the song - as the (being politically correct here) people who change their mind constantly on what is and isn't allowed as an opinion keep pointing out, none of the old fans will ever give it a chance.

Yes, but as a result, the "facts" of where they rank mean absolutely nothing.  Did they get enough calls, texts, and e-mails to rank high?  Yes.  Was it more than 50 people responsible for all the messages?  Who knows?  So IF you're going to purposely "cheat" the results, you cannot in turn use those results as evidence of success.

What fanbase doesn't flood radiostations with requests? That's how they get high chart positions. It's completely ridiculous that you're attacking people for doing what every other fanbase does. They want their favorite band to be successful.  Jesus Christ, Buzz, come off it aleady.
