Re: We don't really expect a new setlist do we?
I have a theory, and it's a big stretch, that Axl still wants to do his magnum opus trilogy that ultimately began in 95, and he wants it to include redone songs from CD.
It would actually explain a lot! As you said it kinda makes sense of band actions all the way from the lackluster 2008 release onwards.
I would love it if it happened. In a way I feel like it could in that psychologically if he's going to release anything why not release lots....the roadblock for one song is probably the same for a tripple album or something.
So yeah I hope it happens...but then again it's GNR...they might just play seeker another 20 years lol

Re: We don't really expect a new setlist do we?
Disappointed. Can someone explain to me what, if anything was different to NITL? Was there a different aesthetic to the videos/imagery? Because at this point, they might as well call it NITL-rehash.
High points are Axl looked a little fitter and Slash looks great and fit too. Dead Horse sounded good I thought. They've slowed down AFD songs by the sounds.
Low points - too many inane jam sections, noodly solos (Fortus's wankery is getting worse seemingly) and excruciatingly long versions of KOHD and Paradise City. I'd love to take those two songs out and shoot them.
More covers ffs.
No new shit
The next chapter huh?

No
Re: We don't really expect a new setlist do we?
Just caught the end of PC on a stream. Sound was decent. Axl didn’t sound much different than in the past IMO. So if you think he sucked in the past you’d think the same and vice versa.
I think they had an 11pm curfew tonight and it sounds like they have one at Fenway too on Tuesday, thus the short encore.

I’m not going this time around, but “Dead Horse” would be the one thing I’m sorry I’ll miss. Unless of course they play something new like Hard School, then add that to the list.

Yeah..turns out that's Dead Horse and Duff doing a different solo song
I'm trying to find the best case....so like maybe this year and next are kinda a 2 year warm up and then they release an album and re-brand around that.
There's a point where I have to give up I guess.

Yikes.
Same as it ever was.
Looks like I Wanna Be Your Dog replaced Black Hole Sun and Mannish Boy replaced Wichita Lineman.
In other words.... Hardschool is nothing more than an alternate.
While I already pointed out how they don't care, they just destroyed what little buzz there was flowing through the hardcore base.
Any hopes... however thin...that I had regarding an upcoming single release are now gone. If Hardschool was on the launch pad, they would've played it and it wouldn't be on the back burner as alternate.
