Isn't that VP?

I know the VP votes to break ties...but does the VP get to create the agenda too?

I would think the VPs party elects the Senate Majority Leader as a result, so then the SML sets the agenda etc. I'm sure its happened before. Anyway, I wouldn't anticipate it, isn't it 48-50?  I wouldn't expect Dems to win 2 seats out of Georgia. I heard there's like a thing going around trying to get Republicans angry at their GOP state leaders for not siding with trump, so a 'Don't vote for Senate' to put it back in their faces. We'll see if it works but it's a long shot winning 2.

I've been reading that the female senator that was appointed not elected is not popular. Furthermore, when she used insider government information to pull all her money from the stock market right before Co-vid is really hindering her gaining the kind of traction she needs to win.

I've given up predicting Georgia bc I would've never thought Biden could win it.

Edit: Her name is Womack

Yeah, she has a chance to lose. I'm not sure about the other one, I really haven't followed too closely, I just find it a challenge to win 2, but having 1 unlikeable rich senator who used their position for insider trading is probably the best situation Dems could be in, trying to win Georgia.

I've spoken highly of Kasich for 5 years now. Ohio is a good moderate middle of the country state that is a good place to stick a thermometer. My only gripe might be what is a sort of meddling message on abortion.

I always liked Kasich. I was hoping he would pull off an upset in 2016. If Republicans had rallied behind him four years ago, we could've avoided the Trump fiasco and we'd now be entering Kasich's second term.

He's not getting any younger and more than likely will never get to be president unfortunately.

Only possibility is if Biden's term is a complete disaster, 2024 a shit show thanks to Trumpism again and Kasich steps in like Biden did this cycle to be a transitional president.

News outlets need to focus more on these types of announcements and let Trump news be at the bottom of the page/hour.

Looks like Biden is moving to the center (a good thing) and all these predictions about the extreme left/"socialists" taking control is a bunch of horse shit.

In normal circumstances I would fully agree that the Dems have less than a snowballs chance in hell of of picking up two Senate seats in Georgia.

This isn't normal circumstances.

On top of the momentum of the Biden win/Trump loss, the Republicans are in a state of chaos thanks to Trumpism in critical condition.

Half of the Trump goon squad are telling Georgia voters to not vote for the republican candidates due to them being involved in a liberal conspiracy.

The other half of the goon squad telling them to vote.

This is confusing as hell to Trump supporters. They believe the election was stolen from Trump....so the next logical step is to double down and go along with the goons screaming liberal conspiracy.

Without high voter turnout for those candidates, the Dems will win. The Dems are united on this issue. They want the Senate and they're not going to waste time, money, and resources in Georgia whining about conspiracies.

If the Republicans don't cut Trumpism loose right now I predict they lose both seats.

I don't really know anything about these people other than Kerry who I can of laugh that he's still around. He ran for president 16 years ago! Good for him though...

It's nice to see signs of things moving forward however they might be occurring.

She's not losing. She was running against a Democrat and another Republican, that's why there's a runoff. None of these candidates are any good, but Ossoff is also super wealthy with his own shady business dealings with China, and another who can't keep his foot out of his mouth and ran over his wife during an argument. Both are pledging to make Georgia more progressive with an influx of out of state cash. The Senate is staying Republican.

The most recent polls show them in a dead heat...and Georgia polls were largely accurate in the weeks heading up to the election. I'm not expecting it...but I won't be surprised either...

I saw Trump's presser on Friday...whatever the topic was supposed to be was completely lost in his Eeyore routine....he once in mid sentence just stopped and said 'I won.'
