In another song.... What makes anyone think Elvis is Soul Monster? Any links or discussions in the past to prove this hypothesis?
Can't dig for links at the moment but Soul Monster was initially called Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul. It also seems to fit with what little description we've heard about the song.
Two songs with Elvis working titles? Just like with Circus Maximus/Ides of March, I seriously doubt two separate tracks with identical themes.

Leave Me Alone was renamed Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul. See the Axl chats.
It was also an A list track and sounds similar to how Axl described it. So it all fits with Me and My Elvis.
Pretty unlikely that there were two different A list tracks with Elvis in the name.
