Not sure if it really belongs in Whispers, but just taken a look at the "Phantom & Ghost" page (year 2000) and none of the news articles even mention that it's Jimmy singing with Gilby and Axl. I didn't even realise and seen that photo plenty of times

I remember reading about that. Axl had been out of the spotlight for years, and just turned up at a Gilby gig, and got up and sang Dead Flowers with him.

I thought they played Dead Flowers, but looking at what Will posted, it may have been Wild Horses.

The MTV article in Chinese Whispers says Axl sang on Dead Flowers and Wild Horses.

Shit, Axl didn't look that good 13 years ago either. 2006 best year for new era Axl.

Hell 2000 and current Axl don't look all that different. Don't know what's going on through the guy's head nowadays. But it is a very interesting story none the less. Glad he did two songs!

Actually makes me feel optimistic that he could regain 2006 era form then.
I mean in fairness he's going to be 7 years older or whatever...but still.
I'd be most happy with return to 2006 era vocal chops - but not sure if that's possible. Some say it's just training and exercising the voice, but others seem to think he has an unfixable vocal issue and what we see now is him managing it as best as can be.

I dunno, it's hard to tell, but in that 2000 picture posted, Axl doesn't look too far off 1993 Axl to me.
He doesn't look like the bloated Axl of 2013
