Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
This is a pity.
I watched the KOC guys on youtube and I found myself liking old Baz again, it took me back to 1991 when I saw him front Skid Row on the UYI tour.
He was a force of nature both vocally and in terms of charisma.
Myles is a nice guy but as rock stars go he's very plain. Too humble and too little raw power on stage.
Baz looks to be in great shape and really the years have been kind to him, both physically and vocally. KOC should be his big chance to get back into rocks A-game again.
If Axl is such a bitch that Baz has to turn this down because "Satan on the Gibson" has come on board then that's a shame. Conversely, Baz should grow a pair and get out there and get his career back, fuck Ax. He could go far with this band, its a nice little business model and probably pays better than being Axl's warm up act.
Still, we don't know why he has dropped off, he may be focusing on his album and I'm bagging on Axl unfairly. Still, Baz is in, Slash shows up and Baz is out...seem like an Axl thing to me.
I think the poor guy still dreams the big dreams about being a solo artist, he should look at KOC as a bigger platform to front.

Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
I'm guessing it has more to do with Slash than Axl.
Here's what Baz said about VR four years ago:
"I have talked to Slash recently about collaborating on music, but not VELVET REVOLVER. I cannot say what the details are, but Axl Rose has helped me and this band more then anyone eklse in the music industry. It would be very akward to sing in VELVET REVOLVER being such close friends with Axl. More importantly, I like "Angel Down" more than VELVET REVOLVER music."
That comment alone sounds like Baz wouldn't front KOC if he thought it would piss of Axl, and it's also notable that the talks with Slash about the solo album didn't end up with Baz being on the solo album.

Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
Then again...here's fun conspiracy theory the other way:
Baz pulled out because he's signed with VR and they want to save the thunder for a VR show
Although as I said above...Baz isn't keen on VR because of Axl and because it's not heavy enough.
Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
I don't doubt the grudge of Axl, but the whole situatuon is just strange. You decide to bring in a guy that will result in your vocalist leaving the tour? Maybe not bring in Slash on this particular project then.
Unless he knew that and it was part of the plan of course./end paranoid mode

Here`s the performance of Highway Star www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VMvYRMl1DzA#!
Glenn Hughes is awesome but no one can sing MK II Purple material like Ian Gillan.

Well I think KOC was founded by Matt.
It's a band of Matt's mates playing easy shows for fun and doing each others hits.
If he was given a "Slash or Baz" ultimatum from Baz....slash is the more logical choice to go with...he's got more recent hits under his belt than Baz, and although Baz is great I'd say slash is probably the bigger draw in terms of tour numbers, adding him in gives the band 4/5 of UYI GNR which gets attention, and it also doesn't create any fights in VR - which matt might want to get running again one day.
It's a no brainer for Matt.
That said it's a damn shame. I had my little fantasy where Slash does solo records with myles, then when myles is busy with AB he does a Baz fronted VR that kicked off when they all clicked on this tour.
Now there's nothing for it than for myles to join VR, and for VR and Slash's solo project to merge into the one unit

I don't know if Baz singing with KOC would necessarily thrust him into the limelight again. Maybe he doesn't view it that way. If that was the case, I agree he wouldn't pass it up UNLESS he thought it would piss Axl off and he didn't want that.
I guess what I'm saying is, if Baz believed this gig would be great for his career he'd do it. He must not feel that way and would rather focus on his solo career and not burn any bridges with Axl.
OR, Slash has a problem with Baz or would rather work with Myles and has forced him into the equation. He obviously has a good relationship with Myles, as opposed to other singers he's worked with. Maybe he has perceived issues with Baz that he just didn't want to explore or deal with.
