Re: Pearl Jam's McCready, Guns N' Roses' McKagan Form New Band
Sounds very promising. I like the idea of different singers for the songs.
Yes and no. I've seen this concept used quite a bit in rock and it is an entirely hit and VERY miss concept. I personally prefer finding a main singer and going for it, but in this case with this being a Seattle rock concept, and i'm assuming basically a Mad Season revival, if they can get a bunch of the boys from that scene to front it, would be bad ass. I have wet dreams thinking of some Mad Season songs, amped up a bit, and hearing Duff do harmonies with Jerry on lead or Eddie or Chris, etc.
McCready and Duff in the same band?? Yes please!
I agree totally, as long as the RIGHT singer(s) are found.
If only Layne was still alive to front this
I know, right? So tragic he chose his end like that, because there are literally a dozen projects I can think of, not even counting the AIC revival, that Layne would've been viewed as a modern rock God in today's age had he stuck around.
If Layne was in this band, my head just swims with the quality it would've been. Then again if Layne had stuck around, Mad Season would've probably rebooted in the early 2000's when he got clean and AIC was taking an extended break.
