Sure, why not?
Just seemed like a little something neat to throw in for them.
I don't know...it just reeks of one step too far to me, that's all. As cool as I thought the show was, I have to admit mocking the people walking out with streamers wrapped around them like they were some sort of trophy.
Everybody has a line; I guess mine is somewhere around confetti and streamers. I'm sure others would be cool with sponging the stage hoping to soak up some Axl sweat as a momento.
That just seems overly cynical to me. U2 had three colours of confetti. Red, silver and white. I grabbed one of each and they go in my ticket stub scrap book beside the ticket stub for that show. Whoaaaaaa call me crazy It's a little piece of the show. I don't see the big deal. It's not like saving the wrapper your hotdog came in. It's saving a prop from the actual show. I also saved confetti from the City of Blinding Lights video shoot I was at where U2 played four songs at the end for free. That confetti goes beside the mock ticket stubs we got as well as the tag they used to check my cell phone. Again call me crazy

Re: 12 GN'R shows in Las Vegas
I'm famous for taking most things I like too far.
But within that context it seems really normal to me to save a memento from the show.
It's like coming home from a fair or parade or fun park or something with a balloon and stuffed toy.....one day you come across it again and it triggers the memories.
I wouldn't do anything too extreme to get them like wait or line or anything, but if they launch streamers at my head and we're all covered in confetti or something I'll probably save a bit of it....at least for a while.
Re: 12 GN'R shows in Las Vegas
That's cool. I think it's over the top, but I'm not the type that would be at all excited by that. Really I don't get excited about much of anything, so I may not be the best barometer for stuff like this.
Well to be clear it's not like I get excited over it. its not like "Oh my god confetti!!! oh yippie!!!" there's no mad scramble to get this stuff. I don't even buy concert t-shirts but if something like that is within arms reach and I can grab a bit of the show and stick in the scrap book with all the ticket stubs I don't see why not and I definitely don't see how it's over the top. To each their own though but I mean how different is it really to wanna catch a drum stick or a pick compared to some of the confettie? It's not that much different really. All just little things used during the show.
