Re: 2012 NFL Season
Bears kicked ass and I was there to see it.
That is all.
I'm slowly becoming a Bears fan. Well, at least of their defense. I have them in 2 fantasy leagues and they're constantly putting up numbers that QB's and RB's would be lucky to get. That D, and special teams, is good.
So far, you've been right about the Bears this year Buzz. So far. We'll see if they can keep it up. I have no doubt they're a very good team. It's just the NFC is loaded. 9ers, Giants, Falcons, Packers. The Bears are definitely in that mix, but that's a tough group.
Re: 2012 NFL Season
I know I'm retarded, but I still have faith in Ponder. His issues are not as bad as one may think when they look at his stats. Pocket presence needs to be fixed for sure. But it's hard to throw the ball when A) no one is open and B) outside of Harvin, we don't have any other noticeable WR's, mix that all in with a struggling O-Line and you get a crappy QB....
Now I'm sure I sound insane, BUT.....
Vikings STILL have a chance at a playoff berth [Insert Joke Here]
Eagles, Cowboys, Redskins, Panthers, Cardinals have all basically eliminated themselves from a playoff berth already which leaves us with:
Packers (will get 1st Wild Card)
Seahawks
Lions
Buccaneers
Vikings
For wild cards

That looked like a fun game to be at! Especially if its at the opponents venue, rubbing it in Titans fan's faces
There were more bear fans than titan fans there. Then we took over downtown Nashville. The bars were all packed. Bands were saying welcome to Chicago south instead of Nashville.

Funny you should mention the OL, I remember one instance where Seahawks brought a blitz and Phil Loadholt absolutely blocked nobody. I got a good laugh out of that one.
Remaining schedules:
SEA:
vs Jets, @Dolphins, @Bears, vs Cards, @Bills, vs 49ers, Vs Rams.
Tough games against Dolphins, Bears and Niners.
DET:
@Vikings, vs Pack, vs Texans, vs Colts, @Pack, @Cardinals, vs Falcons, vs Bears.
This is a brutal fucking schedule with 7 of the 8 games against winning/playoff contending teams. Should never have dropped that game against my shitty Titans.
TB
vs Chargers, @Panthers, vs Falcons, @ Broncos, vs Eagles, @Saints, vs Rams, @Falcons.
Mix of teams here. Chargers, Panthers, Eagles and Rams should be easier games. Falcons and Broncos and Saints are the tough games, although the Falcons game at the end might be easier since Atlanta might have clinched home field and won't play starters.
MIN:
Nov 11 vs DET
Nov 25 @CHI
Dec 2 @GB
Dec 9 vs CHI
Dec 16 @STL
Dec 23 @HOU
Dec 30 vs GB
Almost as difficult as Detroit. The game vs Detroit might be a losers out game. Play Chicago and GB twice along with a trip to Houston. Although STL might be an easier game than anticipated.
Just purely looking at the schedules, Seattle is in very good shape. Toughest game is at the Bears and they have a nice break where they get to face the Cards and Bills in back to back games. And they end the season with 2 home games. Tampa has the second easiest schedule here but they seem to be outscoring teams as opposed to stopping them. Detroit and Minnesota have difficult schedules and will need to catch a break somewhere (upset by an also ran team). Minnesota also lost to Seattle and Tampa so they'll need more help since they lose out on the head to head tiebreaker.

That's the way it looked on TV, too.
Titans are just terrible. I think there's going to be a coin toss for the first pick next year: Chiefs and Titans.

Nah, Titans already have three wins and two more games with the Jags and another one with the Jets. I think they end up with four wins.
Jags also have one victory as well. I'd say they are more of a threat than TEN.
The annual "toilet bowl" game is on 12/9 Chiefs@Browns. Loser has a heads up on the top draft pick. Chiefs also play the Panthers the previous week.
Munchack will probably be fired by the Titans. The old man (aka Bud Adams) already voiced his displeasure over the Bears buttkicking.
And I can't see them winning that many games given the absolutely shitty defense and suspect offense they continue to trot out.
I'd say he needs six wins to survive for next year. And I don't think he gets it. The more games that Hasselbeck starts the higher the chances for a loss.
It's going to be a very bloody coaching firing period.
Here are all the teams that could be looking for new head coaches:
PHI (Reid is a guaranteed goner)
CAR (Rivera might be gone, dependent upon team finish)
TEN
BUF (Gailey's out the door after busting with the high priced D)
NYJ (dependent upon finish)
DAL (not sure how likely it is Garrett is canned but the seat is warm)
SD (dep upon finish, Norv almost got canned last yr)
CLE (new owner + president=Shumer will be canned)
KC (can't see Crenel coming back after this season)
MIN (if they finish 5-11 it could be a possibility)
ARZ (unlikely but if Whiz ends up with 10+ losses after that start, it has to be considered)
The last two are just guesses but they could happen so I left them in there. I'd say PHI, KC, BUF and CLE are almost guaranteed to fire their coaches. I could see SD rallying to get the last AFC spot and Norvell avoids the ax AGAIN. Much to the chagrin of Chargers fans.

too funny...Da'Bears....fans drink Nashville dry!
Re: 2012 NFL Season
I had the Jags in a three-way race for the #1 pick, but the Jags are good enough to run as spoilers this year. The Browns will win enough to take them out of the hunt.
I don't blame Matt Hasselbeck so much as the Titans have a terrible defense.
I can't see Reid getting fired the same year he loses his son. I just can't.
San Diego, yes. And I'm sure Norv will end up in Dallas in some function, if not HC (he's a Jerry Jones guy - Jerry can push him around and maintain personnel power) he'll be OC.
I think Romeo will get another year.
Mike Munchack is gone.
I wouldn't think Rivera would be fired this quickly, but Carolina is getting a new GM and that's alomost always the death knell for a HC.
I think Gailey has a good enough relationship with the GM that he'll give him another shot if they draft a QB in the next draft.
I think Leslie Frazier is okay.
Rex Ryan is okay.
Shumer is gone.
I think they really need to take a good long look at Wissenhunt. Without Kurt Warner his tenure has been completely awful.
