Re: 12 GN'R shows in Las Vegas
If I get to meet anyone, I'll be hoping they have no idea who I am.
Could you image Axl dressing up as Buzz for halloween? That would be hilarious.
Sweet christ I just spotted these now
Whoever thought to put the "TM" beside Ashba's head is a genius

Having said that, we'll be poking around the Hard Rock a couple days prior to the show. I'll be more than happy to pick up a shirt or two for whomever wants whatever design. We'll just work out pay though PayPal or whatever and shipping whenever after we get back.
That's cool, Russ. I thought I saw a shirt with a picture of the band on the front. I'd be interested in one of those in XL if that is possible and not too much of an inconvenience for you. If not, no problem.
Thanks,
Ali
That wouldn't be a problem man. I don't even know what the sales tax is here, but you (and anyone else who wants to) can PayPal me $34.95 (+ whatever sales tax is here) and whatever you want to chip in towards shipping the shirt to you at russtcb@hotmail.com
Please just shoot me an email, NOT a PM here so I know who sent me what and what you want for your money.
Hopefully that makes sense as I'm already fucking loaded today...
I hope you're not driving when you pick me up. Flying on an AA flight delayed for maintenance is enough adventure for one day.

"Buzz... Yes,we've heard of you. Where exactly are you sitting again?."
Russ, did you tell Frank he has his own smiley (emoticon) on this site? He'd probably get a real friggin kick out of that.

Re: 12 GN'R shows in Las Vegas
Here's a couple cool things about our quick visit with the guys. 1) When we first walked up Frank said "Heyyyyyy maaaaaan" like he knew me and put his one arm out in that 'high hand shake/half hug' thing (hopefully that makes sense). Stacey said "We were so excited to meet you on the last tour" and I said "Yeah, I'm really sorry I bothered you in Detroit" and Frank cut me off with "No worries man. You guys are cool, and I had plenty of time to hear the rest of the show anyway". What's cool about that is this: That was Frank knowing exactly where he knew us from. The last time we saw him, he was on the floor watching the opener in Detroit. As soon as I saw him, I didn't think twice, I just ran over and started falling all over him because he was Frank. I finally left him alone to watch the opener but when we went back after the show, I was talking to DJ when Frank walked up, interrupt and said "Now I get to interrupt yo' ass!" and we all had a big laugh. So anyways, fast forward to almost a year later and in a totally different part of the country and Frank remembers us and proves it. How fuckin' cool.
2) As I was introducing Pitman to Stacey and my buddy Chris, I said "This guy does all the synth work and crazy stuff you hear on Chinese" and Pitman said "Yeah 'Crazy Stuff Chris' is what they call me" and we all laughed. I then told my buddy that Pitman used to play has synth on this crazy spring stand and Pitman said "Yeah, it was a car spring and I'm glad it broke. Axl used to come by, grab it, pull it down, aim it and hit me in the dick with it as he was going by!" Needless to say we all laughed pretty hard.
I never had the chance to talk to Pitman before yesterday and I can tell you the dude is nice as all get out. And I still can't believe that Frank knew exactly who we were. Too cool.
-edit-
Side note; shortly after the above encounter, I bought a BAD ASS Hard Rock Hotel shirt that looks like the cover of "The Wall" except it says "Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas" in the 'The Wall' script instead.Side, side note; the above comment reminds me that in the shop the only had one GN'R shirt. It was the one with the old Guns N' Roses font over a B&W pic of the band on the front but they DID have it in XXL and the price was $34.95
Awesome story Russ! Glad and Mother Goose were so cool to you guys. Pitman's story about the keyboard setup was hysterical! They seem to be in the best of moods which will help alot during these shows! That's why I love this band. I can't wait to meet these guys one day. You should of asked them if they are going to record during these residency.
