Re: 12 GN'R shows in Las Vegas
I don't care either way to be honest. If the show is great, that would be fine. If it sucks, no big deal either. I'm not going into it with high expectations and since I'll be in Vegas, the overall trip will not be decided by the quality of the concert.

I agree in some ways. It's hard for me to describe but I love Vegas enough that I'm thinking of this as "We're going to Las Vegas and we happen to be seeing Guns N' Roses while we're there"
Having said that, the vibe I'm getting from this Tommy interview is that the shows might be just a tad cooler than I was thinking they'd be.
Forgive me for not letting that change my expectations. I've just heard too many promises over the years to believe anything any of them say. If Axl said it, I might at least raise my expectation a little, but even then I wouldn't believe it until I saw it.
Part of me thinks it's going to be good no matter what. I haven't seen Axl since 1992, and while he was hard to hear even then and what I could hear was spotty at best, the songs are great and hearing him sing them will certainly be a cool experience even if he completely sucks.
If it's good, I'll say it's good; if it sucks, well...

NICE:
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas & Clark County, NV will temporary rename Paradise Rd to Paradise City Rd for GUNS N' ROSES residency at The Joint 10/31-11/24!
Makes sense. Hope they alert all the GPS and navigation systems out there.
