This is still a few months off (August), but I thought I'd start up a thread anyway, to discuss possible meetups with fellow Aussie gnrevo Slash fans!

Got tickets for the Sydney gig at Sydney Entertainment Centre, seated right near the stage, and I'm really pumped for this.

It's gonna ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!:mosh::slash:

I'm also really happy for Slash, his last tour here was in 2000 or so seater venues, now he's moved up to Entertainment Centre which holds up to 9-10,000 people.

Great to see the set list already being mixed just from two shows into their NZ/Australian tour. Seeing them this Saturday night, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Next stop for them on this tour is this Thursday night in Brisbane.
Rose Tattoo is also the opening band at the Sydney & Melbourne shows, so I imagine Angry will get up with the band, and bust out Nice Boys.

Some band called "I Am Giant" are opening the other shows. Shame you don't get Rose Tattoo, but it's all about Slash anyway

I hope he does another trip around Baltimore or DC sometime later this year or 2013 because that would be amazing to see him live with this band. The set list looks quite plentiful.

This set list, as great as it is, it's a shame that Slash doesn't delve into any UYI cuts, aside from when he first headed out with Myles and he was playing Civil War.

Yeah loved hearing Slash play Civil War, how it gets back in the set. Would love to hear Locomotive too.

You could argue that he already is kinda playing Locomotive with how similar the verse riffing is in both Standing In The Sun, and Anastasia...:rock:

Hell, even some deep cuts from Snakepit or VR would be a nice addition.

But otherwise, pretty solid set list. It shows Slash is more than willing to move forward while respecting his past.
