Re: Bumblefoot not happy? Speculating....
CD was a terrible single
long ass intro
people wondered if Axl still "HAD IT" and he releases a song singing in a baritone most of the song which prob made some think he could no longer sing.
song isn't very relatable to the avg person... gets repetitive and boring
Sorry IMO was THE BEST SONG and in my circle of people gets the best reception from people who are AFD fans.
Re: Bumblefoot not happy? Speculating....
Sorry has good moments, great music, bad lyrics.
The CD single they played on the radio had an edited intro. It charted pretty well. It wasn't a bad single. And this is coming from soneone who thought it would be a stupid choice. And I still think TWAT should have been the lead single.
And please, Smells Like Teen Spirit was repetitive, you could barely understand the lyrics and when you did, it was like, "Say what?"
With an edited outro, Prostitute would have been a decent single.
And yeah, I'm interetsed in hearing the late 90's version of Better. Those early versions of TWAT and IRS are really interesting too. All they needed was Buckethead and they would have been wayyyyy better than the album versions, IMO.
Re: Bumblefoot not happy? Speculating....
CD should've easily hit number 1 on rock charts. It hit like 6
that is deplorable
on curiosity alone it should've hit number 1.
fucking shit bands everyday hit number 1 and first GNR single in 15 years doesn't?
Slash currently leads Axl 3 number ones to zero.
crazy

Agreed! Prostitute would have kicked so much ass on the charts if it became a single by editing the drum and keyboard ending.

Curiosity factor
There have been great rocks songs that didn't chart high. And as you said, shit songs that do chart high. What does that mean? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Better was ranked one of the best singles of the year by RollingStone and look how that charted.
I have no idea why you jizz over the charts.

Probably. Or my thinking is off due to lack of sleep. Hitting the pillow in a little bit. Anyway, I love the song to death now on CD and I think Bucket's leads are killer. Axl shows his best vocals on that song and concludes the record perfectly.
