the funny thing is they have completed a shitload of touring on their own under Team Brazil. If they get an album out, it will be hard to continue the criticism as they will have done more in 2 years than all the "proper" management did in a decade. You have to give credit where credit is due. I don't like the way they conduct themselves but they seem to be doing a good job so far.

As for the topic, in defense of Sandman, I don't think Tommy, Ron, Axl or whoever should air their dirty laundry in public....that is just as unprofessional as what you guys say Team Brazil does.

Anyhow, that is all I can contribute to this now dead horse topic.

If they get an album out?  14

There's not a chance of getting an actual album out of new material.  None.  The record company has no reason to put out another half-assed effort like CD, and there's nothing to indicate they are even capable of putting in a full effort much less a desire to do so.  And of course when I say they, I mean Axl.

I've said this before and I will say it again...the record company will not put out an album just to put out an album.  Having control of the name GnR (yes, in terms of the record, they control the name) is worth way more to them than whatever amount of copies they could sell of a new album.  As everybody knows, the ultimate money is in the reunion, and even as unlikely as it looks, the record company isn't going to give that chip away for Axl to use to negotiate a new contract somewhere else to sell 100,00 albums from the new band.  It's not just personal against Axl; it's a business move.

The "we" thing could be interpreted to be the wider crew and so on....so I can see Gagarin's point about traveling together and so on.

I also see Sky Dog's point that this tour has been more successful than prior "new-era" events.

In an ideal world, maybe bumble-foot takes up complaints privately, however it doesn't justify members of management publicly rebuking the lead guitarist of the band (far more harmful to the image than his original remarks), it doesn't justify the passive-agressive nature of the snippy comments from the band's photographer\ webmaster and it sure as hell doesn't justify minimising bumble's pain condition by equating it to far less significant injuries of others thus disrespecting both the terrible ordeal he goes through, the ordeal of all others in similar situations, and finally, lacking respect for bumble's status as one of the foremost guitarists on the planet - that he is mocked and rebuked by a hanger on webmaster turned photographer.

This incident is by far the most disgusting display of lack of ethics, lack of empathy, and borderline delusional behaviour that I've seen in the history of the band.

I mean hell - at least with the destruction of the AFD/UYI line ups there's two sides to the story....but this event  is outright outrageous.

Only two managers in the history of GNR have gotten original studio albums out of them.

Alan Niven and Irving Azoff.

I understand that, but from all accounts, that is now their current goal. We shall see. I don't hold alot of hope, but it appears to be something they want to do.

But is it funny?

A conspiracy theorist could suggest they obstructed and warped prior management's relationship with Axl to maintain their own positions of influence with him. Theoretically then after sabotaging events for the better part of a decade, they then exercised the ultimate coup.....leveraging control of his personal life and their status as adopted family to obtain business control also "no more managers or we quit being your family". Thus...the "family based" management is able to achieve more because it doesn't have to work 24/7 to prevent reunions or other events that could derail their status.

Sound paranoid? But then you read how Bucket was bullied out of the band and so on...you think about how Slash was denied access to Axl when he showed up to resolve it...how people like Jarmo were adopted into the fold and given unimaginable access to the band as long as he installed a bunch of censorship of opinion and only publishes selective truths....and all of a sudden it only seems partially paranoid.
