2070?  Do you listen to anything from 1920?  That's what people will think of AFD at that point.

100% completely WRONG. Music landscape changed drastically between 1920 and 1987. Trust me AFD will still be a classic in 2070. The radio station here today just paid tribute to AFD celebrating it's 25th anniversary. They played songs off it all day long including the deep cuts. Then tonight they played the entire album in it's entirety without interuption other than qucik bit of info before each song. The album is an all time classic and Jungle has been recognized as the best hard rock song of all time.

Trust me AFD will be revered in 2070 like it is now. No different than Elvis, Beatles, Zeppelin etc etc etc. Music culture and the way people viewed bands and albums changed in the 50's to insure that the classics will survive the test of time. To suggest AFD will be all but forgotten the way the "classic albums" of the 1920's have been is just not even remotley close to accurate. I mean seriously you think in 58 years arguably the greatest rock album of all time will be forgotten? Not a  chance.

That's what people said about music in the 20s.  Forgotten?  No.  On the top of anyone's mind?  Not a chance.

They didn't have cd's mp3's casset tapes etc etc etc. They didn\t have live dvd's they didn't have musi television, they didn't have a 100 music publications, they didn't have satelite radio, they didn't have terrestrial radio in every single city. Trust me it's different. there's abig reason why Elvis is still hugely popular and why the Beatles continue to sell and that Zeppelin is still a huge influnece. To suggest ina  measly 50 years they'll all be an after thought as well as Guns N' Roses is completely wrong. Music endures and given the culture and era Guns N' Roses came up in their music will endure and be WAY more relevant and yes still popular in 2070 compared to how music from the 1920's is today or even what it was in the 70's or even 50's. Your analogy and comparison just wasn't good dude.

I don't know maybe in the States it unfold the way you say cause you're music culture seems to be going down the shitter but in Canada rock music is alive and well. There's no doubt in my mind Guns will still be popular in a  classic rock sense the way they are today. No different than the Rolling Stones 50 years into their career. Seriously the Stones classics aren't going anywhere over the next 50 years. Neither are the Guns classics.

The music world changed more between 1920 and 1965 than between 1965 and 2012. Sure, we have a lot of new formats today our parents and granparents didn't, but a lot of people are still listening 1960s music. Including teens. But in the 60s only a few jazz and blues fans listened that old songs.

I'm unsure what the future brings for GN'R though. 2070 is too far from today. I couldn't name any band or artist who'd be still known then, for sure. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, of course, but Led Zeppelin, Elvis...? I don't know.

Yeah I do and I know what stands the test of time. If you think in a  mere 50 years from now Guns classics will be looked at as forgotten or geriatric music you're sadly mistaken. Tell me at what point do you see Jungle suddenly not being the most kickass song at sporting events that still 25 years on sets a crowd on fire the way no other song does. It's not gonna happen man. Guns N' Roses are a classic band. They will remain that,  the way other classic bands have.

80's music is old music. That is't a surprise but Guns N' Roses(87-93) is still looked at in the eyes of the public as a kickass band the way Metallica is and others.  To say Guns N' Roses will be looked at in 2070 the way 1920's music is looked at in 2012 is laughable

I'm pretty happy you can clearly see what will happen in 2070.  Can you tell me if I will still be alive?  Can you give me some ideas on stocks to buy?  I mean, don't waste that brilliant insight on GnR.

Stop with the condescending bullshit.Pretty hilarious that you arcastically mock the fact I don't knwo what will happen in 2070 yet go onto tell us how Gn'R will be looked at in 2070. So I can't know but you do? haha ok than 16

This is exactly what you said

And that is flat out WRONG. People in 2070 will not view Guns N' Roses the way people in 2012 view the music from the 1920's. The music and the  culture changed too much. It's not rocket science. It's straight up common sense that what I'm saying is true. Guns N' Roses will not be viewed in 2070 the way 1920's acts are viewed today. Argue it all you want

I'm just sayin.  If you're going to tell me what I said, don't selectively choose what I said.  And I'll stand by what history has proven over your speculation.  Could you be right?  Sure.  History says you're not, but certainly technology may change things.
