I actually was semi-involved with an organization that got a star on the Walk of Fame for a late actor.

And after knowing the in's and out's of how it's done over the years....

You are pretty much PAYING to have the star, as long as you have a background in entertainment.

So the people arguing the semantics over it, are wasting their breath. The Walk of Fame is a tourist attraction, and although it's can be "symbolic" for some, the bottom line anyone in the business could buy one. A board still has to approve it, but it's rare they deny anyone that has the $15,000 retainer (if I remember correctly).

I'm sure there's been tons of people denied. You've gotta be somebody to get one. yeah you may have to pay for it but they aren't gonna give it to any Tom, Dick and Harry who has a background in entertainment. Fred Savage could get one but the dude who played his friend Paul in Wonder Years isn't getting one.  Slash could get one but the guitar player from Creed isn't getting one.  You've gotta have some merrit to it. I walked the Walk of Fame and I recognized probably 98% of the names on it.

They are giving one to New Kids on the Block next year, no joke.

It's a joke that so-called GN'R fans would do anything to downplay Slash's success.

I just want to say that I actually found Sheen's comments to be pretty damn funny.

I think honestly, now that we're all a little older and Sheen and Axl are both 50 or near it... if Axl Rose can't figure out that Charlie is a constant ball buster smart ass... Axl needs to get a thicker skin.

It's a joke. Oh yeah Axl, you'll alwasy be associated with Slash.

GET OVER IT. Make a funny and slam Sheen, or move on. (not saying Axl did, i'm just hypothetically speaking)

Look at Sheen's roast. He got blasted and he took it well.

"We've got the tour that's gonna go into next year, we're starting work on the next record," Slash says. It will be with the same band with which he made the current Apocalyptic Love album.

Another album quickly is cool but at the same time im somewhat disappointed.  I like a number of songs off the new album and I'm always hanging out for more Slash stuff, but Myles' voice is very polarizing.  I find he either sounds great on a song or he sounds quite irritating. I don't find a lot of middle ground with how he sings.

Long term I don't feel he is the right vocalist for Slash.

Yeah I thought that too, ignoring the Axl comment, Sheen actually didn't say all that much about Slash, he said more about himself.

Honestly, I prefer Myles in Alter Bridge, where he sings in a lower register, and the music more nu metal-ish, or metal sounding. Just suits Myles' style more.

And I'm fucking right into Alter Bridge at the moment too. ABIII is a killer album.

That said, I'm glad Slash is back to playing and soloing like a motherfucker right now, so if it's Myles that helps us get from him, that's a good thing.

If Slash were to ditch Myles, he should go for someone with more grit in their voice.

Slash Speaks After Hollywood Walk of Fame Dedication

"Charlie's probably one of the best examples of rock & roll that I know, because he does what he does, doesn't give a fuck what anybody has to say, and from an integrity point of view he's really great at what he does," he said. "And he's got this extracurricular lifestyle, which he makes no bones about. He does what he does and he doesn't take shit from anybody, and I love him for that."

But if it's Axl doing what he does and not giving a fuck it's bad?
