I don't think she's THAT good either. She Her feakshow persona and her ability to rip off Madonna and have people accept it in spades is what's gotten her to where she is. Does she have more talent as a singer and musician then Madonna? Sure I guess but she's just doing Madonna all over again. It's so lame. Britney Spears was more interesting than Lady Gaga plus she's a better dancer 
Regardless of what anyone thinks of Madonna in 2012 Gaga has been a blatant Madonna rip off since day one. Like Buzz said her talent isn't mindblowing. Nothing she's done is memorable. So she can play the piano, so can a million other people. If she's so talented maybe she could for once let the music do the talking. Not fucking likley though. Her music is forgettable and her gimmick is lame.
I'd have given her more respect if she didn't do her damndest to distract people from her incredibly average at best music with how "shocking" and "Weird" she can be. I don't think there's anything about her that's genuine. It's all fake to me.
Once again I find myself posting in a Lady Gaga thread.... I guess I look in here based out of curiosity because to be honest I'm incredibly surprised so many members here have bought into her BS.

Why would that sting anyone? To suggest the only real talent comes in the form of popular people is ridiculous. I guess Justin Bieber is the most talented male musician on the planet then...

Exactly. Adele is talented (though I don't care for her music). Gaga is mediocre, but brings attention to herself through her antics. I think of her as being more theatrical but less talented. She is not a total hack, but she's far from being the best talent out there.
She's the KISS of pop music. KISS isn't the most talented band (not by a long shot), but they put on a good show. Nothing wrong with that, but there's no reason to pretend that they are something they are not.

The thing is, I do believe like she thinks... she's a rocker in her heart.
But the label pushes her as a pop icon, which is all wrong imo. But they're looking to sell records.
I still think she was the best option to front Queen in 2012. And i'm not a big fan of female singers replacing men, in all male bands.
Agreed. I think the label pushes her into a Madonna like figure because that's what will sell the most records and make them the most money. If it were up to her, she'd do things a lot differently. But she doesn't have that kind of control over her own career, which is sad in a way. She is more talented that what you see/hear on the official releases.
And Russ, I can't stand that "act" before "You And I". It was a true "what the fuck" moment. Made no sense whatsoever. The song too, wasn't as pure as when she started performing it. It was much better before they made it more radio friendly.
