Check this video out, it sounds like Slash was kinda playing an early incarnation of Anastasia back in 1992.
I was listening to this show the other day and it sounded familiar to me. About 8 seconds in...
What do you all think, am i just hearing things?

I totally hear some origin of it happening there.
Does make me wonder if he came across this riff while practising classical sounding warm up riffs cos it's almost something like that on roids.
Interesting from a song writing perspective too how sometimes riffs from years later re-emerge....I should dig out the shit I first played with years ago and see if i can work some new songs!

Yeah me too. Alot people don't talk about it, but I was always a MASSIVE fan of that Argentina 1992 show. Believe it or not it was the first bootleg I really connected to. For years I cranked the performances of Jungle, Mr. B & Patience from that show.
I still think it's my favorite performance of Mr. Brownstone from the old era. Something about the sound of Matt's drums just kill me for whatever reason. Sounds like he's beating some sort of fuckin' tribal drum.

I think I downloaded the Argentina 1992 show from the downloads section here a few months back, and yeah, its a great show!
I was listening to the audio recently, and that's where I picked up the Anastasia thing in Slash's solo.
Also, it reminded me that even Slash's random noodling is awesome, nothing beats his tone and style, I just fucking love his sound. Slash is without a doubt my favourite guitar player.

Nice find metallex! 
However I think that he played some early version (not even a version, but a short theme of) Obsession and Obsession Confession, two songs he released in the mid 90s (one is an instrumental, the other has Marta Sanchez singin'). I think that these Obsessions evolved into something very different, the magnificent Anastacia in 2012. Even the first notes are the same.
