Slash to Perform Live on SiriusXM
In-studio performance to celebrate the release of Slash's new solo album "Apocalyptic Love"
NEW YORK, May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Sirius XM Radio announced today that the iconic Grammy(R)-winning guitarist, songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Slash, will perform for SiriusXM listeners at the SiriusXM studios in New York City.
The performance will air live on Wednesday, May 23 at 12:00 pm ET, on Octane, channel 37, and will feature Slash with vocalist Myles Kennedy performing songs from his new album, Apocalyptic Love, released on Tuesday, May 22.
The in-studio event will also feature a Q&A session between Slash and SiriusXM host Jose Mangin.
"Slash has been a pivotal member of two of rock's most legendary bands, worked with some of the most diverse and iconic artists of all time--including Bob Dylan and Michael Jackson-- and as a critically-acclaimed solo artist he continues to change the art of guitar playing in rock 'n roll music," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. Octane plays hard rock by artists like Disturbed, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack and Korn.

I am listening to it now. Have it taped. Not well versed in how to share it but I can try to find a way. So far I've heard them play Back From Cali, Fall To Pieces, Not For Me, and Sweet Child O Mine.
I think you can sign up for a free 10 day trial for Sirius if you want to try that. They've been on for over an hour now but I think they're wrapping things up.

I am listening to it now. Have it taped. Not well versed in how to share it but I can try to find a way. So far I've heard them play Back From Cali, Fall To Pieces, Not For Me, and Sweet Child O Mine.
I think you can sign up for a free 10 day trial for Sirius if you want to try that. They've been on for over an hour now but I think they're wrapping things up.
They want all the bank stuff even for the free trial.

See the problem is though, I have it taped on my Sirius radio and I haven't been able to figure out how the hell to access any of the songs or shows from the device onto my computer. I mean there has to be a way. I can see the stuff, but I can't play any of it or do anything with it. So I can't save it as a file and upload it anywhere. The only way I could tape it is with my phone, then I could upload it to youtube. That would take a few days though. I will do it if you want, but it might take awhile.

If you can record one of the rebroadcast, then you could use Audacity. It's free and it records the the audio stuff quite well. In the end you can export it any format you want (from mp3 to different wave formats - using 'export as'). You only have to be careful that Audacity records everything that's going on through the recordings. So if you tape something, then the keyboard sounds will wreck the audio Same goes for sutfing on the net etc.
