No, he is partially right. His problem and your problem is you make every post the same. It always comes down to you guys bashing ANYONE who says one positive thing in Axl's defense. I am not defending Axl and his actions at all. No need to say "the Amighty A". I am simply stating that RS is running these little "interviews" with a specific agenda. That is pretty obvious. They are looking to stick it to the redhead. Is it deserved? I think so. However, I don't think it warrants you and pretty boy jumping down everyone's throat and claiming we are defending Axl.

interview was pretty good actually imo...but slash didnt rise to the bait...
but i dont see it as putting over slash and burying axl...i mean axl refused to show up for the HoF ceremony ... what do you expect to happen?
even though axl may have perfectly legit reasons for not showing....nobody really knows what they are (inculding slash apparently) and thats what puts him over as the asshole...media is gonna do what they are gonna do, if they can start a feud they will if nothing but for the sake of publicity...Slash dodged the questions nicely and still did a decent interview

Does the media take shots at Axl whenever they can? Yes, pretty much sums it up.
So the question is why? The answer is Axl makes himself a target. Being famous already makes you a target; being erratic, unpredictible, and a little looney focuses the bullseye even more. I have a hard time feeling sympathy for him on this subject. Yes, it's a bit unfair, but he could cut off a lot of it if he really wanted to.
I think someone nailed it when they said Axl enjoys being the heel. I'm not sure he "enjoys" it, but I think it helps keep the only thing driving him these days (his hatred of Slash) going.

There wasn't any dodging questions because they weren't asked. That's my problem, they talk about Axl not showing up, but not "WHY?"
They don't get into the specifics of the letter, or one of the biggest things in this whole feud, is that Axl put in there what would open up a line of communication. That is, if that's what they were really interested in.
We would all be pounding Axl on this and rightfully so.
These interviews, this one included, are nice for the old guys, but it's pretty clear these interviews aren't really meant to ask anything meaningful, but to continue to kick dirt on Axl, whether he opened himself up for it or not and reward the guys who did. (Maybe they didn't like Axl was getting support from certain places). Shit, Cantor's interview was much better, I'd like to see something like that.
Ask him about that, Eddie Trunk.

I'll nutshell my thoughts on this;
I don't have any problem with Slash doing any interviews, let alone this one with RS.
I completely agree that Axl makes himself a Target.
My issue is with RS in general and they way they handle themselves which is an issue I've had with them dating all the way back to 1994 in the example given.
Mikka and Macphisto don't want to hear that...they want to tell you what you think and what you should think. RS is stirring up shit....that's it. Popcorn took the bait. Slash didn't. To me, it has nothing to do with whether I 'm an Axlite or not. It has to do with RS's agenda.

I absolutely agreed with Russ on this one, with this wording. So you... missed completely. You might need to find another hobby than trying to get into a fight with me.
