I hope it's not the actual video. I like those vids that show the band playing, but it looks like a very low-budget shit that a no-album garage band would release.
I generally agree, but sometimes it works very well. SCOM comes to mind. The decision to use black and white was brilliant.

I like it. I HATE 99% of all music videos, especially "high concept".
Sheesh, i'm a skin n' bones kinda guy. All you need is a band, some multi-angles, a sleazy and or grungy element (depending on whether you dealing with a glam band or a grunge/alternative band)...
And just play
That's it. Just bing bang boom. My favorite GN'R video was You Could Be Mine, because I thought the clips worked well with the live shots, but primarily just that Ritz '91 performance was all that was needed. Coolest thing they did during the Illusion period.

My favourite is still Garden of Eden. But this new Slash thing...doesn't do it for me. It's toooooooo low budget and doesn't have any idea, unlike GoE.
