Here's the FACTS:
Not ONE person from the old band is doing the slightest thing to perform at the HOF, per Duff and Slash. And not one answer has mentioned Axl as the roadblock.
Jesus Christ, get over it already...
That's because nobody wants to mention the elephant in the room when it comes to a coordinating a performance.
Not sure why we need to get over something just because we don't share the same opinion as you guys.

if the band (minus axl) is unified in wanting a reunion of any sorts they wouldn't do that to axl knowing that would bury any future possibility of a reunion.
right now axl is viewed as the road block by the mainstream public. they gain nothing by doing this.

Axl IS the road block. Everyone with an ounce of common sense knows the old guys would do it in a heart beat. They're waiting for Axl to make the move so he's comfortable. It's clear none of the old guys wanna freak him out so they lay back act all chill about it. Axl is the road block END OF STORY. The old guys could say "YES we're in" and Axl may not want it. If Axl said "YES I'M IN" the other guys would make it happen. Everyone knows this. For some to pretend this isn't the case is just hilarious. It's some really weird allegiance to Axl to deny this is the case.

Exactly, that's why they are just playing the whole thing down. They don't want to paint him into a corner and piss him off.

Exactly because they'd all do it ina second. Thus Axl is the road block. As soon as he says the word it's gonna happen and untill then the other's will remain diplomatic as to not piss him off and ruin any chances of it ever happening.
