Ali forget about the new band a second. Would you like to see the original guns n roses play? If this was the last ever opportunity they had to play again?

It's pretty simple: of course Axl's feelings on a reunion are the most public and evidently most strong. But, this is a five person band lineup, so more is it play than just Axl's position on the topic.

I fail to see what is so difficult to understand about that.

Yes there are 5 guys, but only one is a fly in the ointment still carrying a grudge like a bitchy little school girl after 15+ years.

I fail to see what is so difficult to understand about that

Is that how much of a whore Axl Rose is? What about the art?

Theres a million bands out there creating and proudly showing off their art for little to no financial reward, its all about the art.

999,999 of those bands dont have any mainstream support or interest whatsoever. They would kill for even the tiniest fraction imaginable of the kind of resources, opportunity and privilege Axl Rose has at a nod or a whim.

In a way, yes.  I think, in his mind, Axl has done so much over the years to fight to keep GNR going.  He still views GNR as a legendary brand, and expects everything that he does to live up to the legacy.  He expects to be treated as such, be given huge cash advancements for working on albums.  Have label support for album releases, promotion, videos, etc.

Unfortunately, things haven't been that way for some time and I think it's safe to say we'll never revisit those times.  If Axl were to come to grips with that I think it'd help the band out greatly in terms of moving forward.  But deep down he knows, if he does that, that's admitting that he can't succeed like he did with Slash and company.  I don't think he's willing to go there.

Here's the FACTS:

Not ONE person from the old band is doing the slightest thing to perform at the HOF, per Duff and Slash. And not one answer has mentioned Axl as the roadblock.

Jesus Christ, get over it already...

One does not need to have a grudge in order to be unwilling or unable to perform that night in Cleveland. Again, I don't get what is unfathomable about this.

Um, EVERY basketball net has a hole at the bottom. That's how the ball is able to come out. 16
