Re: The Wrestling thread
Nash and HBK are both retired. Nash could actually come back as an on air character though, unfortunately he'd probably have to be a mouthpiece for one of the bland stars the WWE is pushing.
My favorite HBK moment of the past few years was in 2005 when he did the heel turn on Hogan and produced this funny ass parody of Hogan just before their match at SummerSlam.
Re: The Wrestling thread
Seriously, seeing how epically the fucked up the Punk angle, they'd kind of need HBK. No one has the promo ability he does. And he's the only one HHH can't push around *cough Punk*
But I could see him screwing Taker and restarting the clique in some way. That way he still doesn't have to wrestle save every blue moon.
Totally. To be honest I'd be ok with the Undertaker's streak being snapped in that way. Having is broken with triple H and HBK being involved is the only way it could ever work. So much history ebtween the three. No one else form thepast oculd do it. The Rock? No. Austin? No. Bret? Obviously no given his condition. Hogan? No, although that's one I could almost see them doing. Kane? maybe.
Honestly in some total screw job by Triple H and HBK I think would fly and it could turn out pretty cool if done right.
I do agree they need HBK. He adds so much just with his ability to do promos.

I think HBK solidified his aboslute greatness with the entire lead up to that Hogan match and then again with how he over sold everything during the match. Also I loved his 'White Knight" kinda thing when he went against the Undertaker. Darkness vs Light.
Having HBK and Nash as ring leaders could work though. They could form a group and pull all the strings. They'd only have to wrestle every so often at a pay-per view.
Maybe have the Rock come back and team with Cena and whoever else to go against HBK, Triple H and Nash and whoever else
Up and coming bland stars is right though
Re: The Wrestling thread
The one new/current guy I could see them involving here would be Dolph Ziggler. He's one of the few guys who can wrestle and cut a promo (aside from CM Punk). Hell they might as well bring back Ric Flair for a mouthpiece role while they are at it.
Kane is basically a jobber (to the upper card stars) at this point. Jericho is gone for a Fozzy tour in the summer.
It's a sad state on the roster when 3 of the best promo guys are retired/part time wrestlers (HHH, HBK, The Rock).
Re: The Wrestling thread
So true and what's worse is when they do cut a promo not only are they awesome at it they make the current roster look so fucking terrible.
I never really saw John Morriosn cut a promo at leats nothing memorable but that's a guy who I thought always had the look to be a new version of HBK. never panned out obviously.
I also think they totally fucked up Jericho's return. It started off good and then fell totally flat.

Morrison's problem was that he gave the cold shoulder to Trish (a Vince favorite) at WM last year and he pretty much got jobbed out.
And yeah, I prefered the 2008 version of Jericho to this one.
This WM card actually looks pretty good with CM Punk vs Jericho, HHH-Undertaker, and Cena-Rock, and Sheamus-Daniel Bryan.
Unfortunately, half of those guys will be gone after this one and the WWE will be up shit creek. Although Rock will be wrestling at Wrestlemania 29.
Re: The Wrestling thread
HBK has still got that jerk streak and that Hogan angle was awesome. Beginning to end. HBK was awesome.
Then he turned into a main event jobber and seemed to be fine with it. That I don't understand.
THIS. Man I was pissed when that shit started happening. he started losing to everyone. I was pissed that he had to job to Hogan too. The Rock got to get over on Hogan and yet HBK had to lay down. Fucking bullshit.

true plus HBK is involved. I may just actually order it this year.
They could have had an awesome set up with Punk Vs HHH and HBK and.... Jericho on Punk's side!
That could have been great.
That would've been cool. Especially with jericho involved as he's been aroudn for a while. Hell jericho was the first ever undisputed champion and they don't use that nearly enough. As the first ever undisputed champion he should have more of an impact when it comes to being THE MAN on campus almost. Yet he has to job a lot too.
Re: The Wrestling thread
And you know what? After HBK jobbed to Cena at WM ( before the match you can hear Shawn tell the ref, "lets get on with this I have a Job to do ) Cena jobbed clean to HBK on RAW. I've got a lot of respect for Cena doing that. And I thought those Cena matches were some of Shawn's best.
