Re: METALLICA Discussion
I've never been a fan of Lou Reed or Velvet Underground, but this is certainly an interesting collaboration, especially from this description:

Re: METALLICA Discussion
Not sue how long this will stay up, but here's a studio version of the new track Hate Train

Sounds like it could sit nicely alongside any of the top tracks from Death Magnetic, and after the mess that was Lou Reed & Metallica, it's a breath of fresh air.:mosh:
Here's a download link too:
Re: METALLICA Discussion
Sounds good, but sounds like a B-side. You can tell how much James voice has changed, even in-studio.
That melody sounds good, but the chorus vocally does seem to the show much James voice has changed. Really showcases how weak and hollow the softer stuff is on him now.
I guarantee you he had to do take after take of pitchy ones, before he nailed it.
Overall sounds good, but has a been of a Dream Theater, "we're just showing off" kinda thing going on. The song doesn't really grab you and doesn't make itself memorable.

Hate Train has grown on me after a few listens, and this one is a real grower too.
