Re: Obama, McCain speeches
I'm watching CNN right now, 3:20 p.m. Sunday Central time, and they are covering speeches of Barack Obama and John McCain.
Obama in Ala. He's talking to a mixed race crowd of young people, mostly black.
McCain in Florida. He's talking to a crowd of older white people, lots of bifocals and veterans hats in the crowd.
What's that tell you?
Re: Obama, McCain speeches
It tells me that republicans are making a big mistake if they make him the nominee(although the other choices aren't any better), and Obama(or any other democrat) is going to kill him in the general election.
You need the youth vote in the general election to become president. McCain or any of the other republicans cannot bring that to the table.
I've been saying it for awhile now- whoever wins between Obama and Hillary is our next president.

the media is extremely pro-obama
The media didn't plant the people in the audience, did they? The media cannot create John McCain's possible voters, who shows up at his speeches.
Fact is, it's a bunch of old white people, just like it is every time the GOP trots out these guys. Sometimes, the younger generation rises up and overcomes the older people who always vote, sometimes they don't.

I think this year the younger generation will be heavily involved

Yeah, and that heavily favors the democrats. Repubs have pulled in the young vote in a few elections, but not this time. This election is gonna be about the toilet we are in thanks to Bush. That doesn't translate into people voting republican.
We're going to see something similar to 92 where the dems control the white house and both the house and senate.

the next president is going to be either Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama. I'm thinking Hilary is the lesser of the two evils.. but the media seems to be on Obama's side.
McCain or Romney will get the republican nomination, but neither will win the presidency.
