Those "micro details" are apparent to everybody except the band. The main detail being that their US market is weak and should be tweaked to fit that fact. While they may continue on throughout the rest of the world as it is the 90's, in America they can't. I guess it is frustrating to some of us, because it's so obvious what they could do to remedy this. I've been to the half empty/full arenas in many cities...it's embarrassing.

I see your point, Cramer. I guess I just don't understand the problem.

My guess is that the guys organizing the tour are oretty on top of things when it comes to what type of venue are best. Considering that the tour pays of at the end.

That some fans gets embarrassed, well, I can understand that not being a top priority in the GNR-camp...

there are so many 'could-be' & 'should do' great idea's floating around GnR, not just in relation to them touring the US.. but in the end, it's the same old trip.. the spontaneity & spark has long been replaced by a half-assed attempt at professionalism & compromising on everything & achieving next to nothing except a paycheck.

people were excited to hear new songs last time 'cause the myth still existed & people wanted to believe in Axl & a Bucketheaded Guns. now the new songs (asif) will be played by robots who haven't written a note for the band.

there is no hope.

If you're shooting for the stars and hoping that GNR will be "on top of the world" again (in whatever incarnation), then I agree, there is no hope.

But if you take a step back, grab a reality check and just enjoy a great show from a kickass band. Then there's hope and a lot of good stuff coming fans' way!

Probably not many people. The good news is that they are giving the tickets away ahead of time as a promotion instead of giving them away just before the show to fill the arena 1/2 way. That's progress!

So I'm excited as hell for the US tour I've been dying for! Anyone else?

I'm excited even though I don't live in the US!
ANY activity is good news in my book!

Didn't you have some kind of problem getting into Canada when they played there?

Good things are looking better this time around! smile

Hope you have a good time! 22

(I think my cousin is touring the US with his band later this year. He's a huge GNR-fan. Hopefully he'll be able to catch a show!)
