I think Mikka is a troll, without a doubt, when it comes to the main GNR boards. To the point where it gets to personal insults. Yet people will support and defend Mikka and not call him out because they agree with Mikka's "negative opinions." That's trollish behavior. It's not about someone having a negative opinion, I can get along with people who don't think it's GNR, it's when it goes past just being personal opinion and you're deliberately starting an argument (with almost every post about the new line up, Axl, whatever) or deliberately being a dick.
I think that nearly everyone at HTGTH is a troll. And they're all "positive."
I've never deducted karma from Mikka, even when he's called me an idiot and shit like that for the simple reason that I disagreed with him. And even though I've gotten negative karma for telling him to shut up for doing it to others. There's not an even handedness to people with just "negative opinions" about GNR to keep things civil. It is what it is.
I've seen the same thing go both ways. I think we tend (myself included) to have selective memory on some of these things.
This.
I personally think that misterID is a troll and is doing everything to downplay the old band's members' ipmortance and abilities, escpecially Slash's. I think he's extremely defensive of the new band and I often can not believe that a sane man can write things he's doing. But I've never given him negative karma for it, cause I consider the slight possibility that he's only living in a different universe, where Axl's GN'R isn't a trainwreck. I've even given misterID positive karma and publicly apologized, when I thought I acted like a dick. How many here did the same?
BTW I'm really sorry for losing my head in some (I think 2) debates.
Anyway, I barely even post in the main section, except the last few days, cause nothing interesting is happening for me, as I'm only interested in a new Axl album. I don't have a bit of interest towards the replacements' replacements, but if misterID were right about the trolling, I would run across the Tommy and DJ threads shouting how much they suck. It hasn't happened.

Impressive and fair trade of differing opinions here dudes..
This board remains a great place to contribute.

Yes, I do admit that I get defensive over people slagging the new band. It's one of my favorite bands/lineups, so erm, yeah, I do get defensive when they're contantly insulted. But I'm kind of getting immune to it now.
I think Slash is VITAL to the greatness of the old band. He helped make those songs great. They wouldn't be anywhere near as classic without him. Those songs, albums and GNR as a whole needed Slash. He's one of the MAIN things that made GN'R great. I never had a problem saying that. I am disappointed in Slash musically today in that I know what he's capable of and, to me, imho, that he's not really trying. It's kind of boring. That's why an original GN'R album prospect doesn't get me excited. It would be very cool to see them on stage together again, though. But Slash just isn't making anything I dig. That's just personal taste. Maybe I can be too hard on him, but I've never tried to rewrite history or downplay his importance. I do put Axl and Izzy higher than him in the importance of making music, but I'm not saying that he isn't important. Never, ever said that.
I think my "insanity" comes from the fact that I've said my favorite lineup was the 2002 version. I still feel that way. Not saying I hate the 87-93 version, or that they suck. I loved them. I'm a huge fan of TSI? And not very many people can say that.
And I have apologized to you when I have crossed the line and was being an asshole for the hell of it and I made sure I didn't do it again. And I won't.

Even Axl might say, "You're fucking crazy!"

Long time members using troll accusations in debates? COME ON. There aren't any trolls here. They were flushed long ago and if new trolls emerge, they'll be flushed as well.
If you're able to log in and post, you're not a troll.
