Police say woman raped 200 times in 13 months

BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- State police say a Centre County man sneaked into a woman's house and raped her nearly 200 times over a 13-month period.

That has led to more than 1,100 charges including multiple counts of rape, burglary, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, criminal trespass and terroristic threats against 29-year-old Roy Chamberlin.

Police say the woman was too terrified to call police or tell her husband.

Mr. Chamberlin is already in the Centre County prison awaiting trial on an unrelated count of attempted murder.

Charges need to be dropped in this case ASAP. If a woman gets raped hundreds of times in her own home by the same man for over a year, it can only mean one of two things...

1. She liked it.

2. They were having an affair, and instead of risking getting caught, she knew he was in jail on another charge and is now crying rape so she doesn't have to face the consequences of her actions.

I do not condone rape, but I'm not going to sympathize with a woman that claims she was raped hundreds of times by the same rapist in her own home.

Once, maybe twice its rape. Anything past the third time suggests she wanted it or was having an affair.

Its unsual I'll grant...but maybe he had something over her family or something and she had reason to be afraid to tell anyone, or ashamed. Then the longer it goes on, the worse it gets to tell.

Bottom line: Its rape if she hasn't agreed to the sex and the guy knows that she hasn't agreed.

Once again, I have to agree with James here. I knew a girl who pulled a stunt like this once, albeit to much less an extreme, but it's the same bullshit. Rape, you know, to violate someone like that against their will is unforgiveable. But there comes a point where we have to take a look at some things and say "Hold on. Are you shitting me?"

I will echo this statement. There was a guy I played football with who had this happen one night on campus. He wasn't really a friend of mine as he had a very dislikeable attitude but the fact was he got screwed over by a girl yelling rape. She invited him over to her room (we had dorms but also there were independant cottages you could rent on campus if you could afford them) while her other two roomates were away and apparently she expected them not to be back until late. They came back early while she was getting drilled. She accused him of rape and he lost his scholarship, his education and his future. He spent a few months in jail before ultimately being found innocent during the trial. I'm not sure why nobody made his bail but it was sad. The girl eventually (after the trial) came clean and told the truth. I don't know what ever became of him but he never came back. I in no way condone rape but this one really woke me up to how easy a girl can ruin a guy for no good reason. On a sidenote, the girl was white and the guy black. I really wonder if that didn't have something to do with it. This was a little over a decade ago and interratial sexual relations were not quite as accepted as today.

This one is different and a little off topic, but another example of how crazy this subject can get. Another guy, this one from high school (good friend of mine at the time) had just turned 18 and got caught doing the nasty with his 16 1/2 year old girlfriend. They got him for statutory rape even though it was consentual. That one bugged me as well. I know that minors need to be protected by all means but there needs to be a difference between a guy is barely 18 having sex with his girlfriend who is only a year and a half younger than him than an older guy who is basically a predator doing this.

My Nephew just turned 18 and his girlfriend is 15 1/2 I sure hope nothing like that happens.

Me too DTJ. You hate to see a good kid go down over something like that. Just talk to him. Is consentual age 16 or 18 in NJ? Some states are 16 so if you can convince him to at least be cool for a little longer at then hopefully he won't end up wearing soap on a roap.

NJ I have no idea but NY is this - New York law states that a person less than 17 years of age is legally incapable of consenting to sexual intercourse or other sexual contact. These laws are typically known as statutory rape laws.

^ You know to have sex you have to be 17 in our state, but to watch it you have to be 18. So... are you suppposed to only do it with the lights off when you're 17, or wear a blindfold or something?
