Tommy, Dizzy and Beta.
Beta left Stephanie we all know. She's been with Axl. Obviously, if Axl was a dick she would have left.
Manager-wise it's a different ballgame.
Axl wants something, managers want something. Doesn't work out.
I am just skeptical about managers and agents in general. There's always agendas going around, and I don't think their agendas go much further than making money...
I know a singer who's been changing managers since the 80's. He's a really great guy. He just don't want the same things as managers and it don't usually work out. He doesn't have any issues or anything, it simply doesn't work most of the time, so don't be too quick to blame it on Axl's history. That's too easy IMO.
I am only referring to people he worked with that left at any point. How many of them is he close to? None of them. No one. Izzy shows up when it pleases him, but to call them close would be at best an overstatement.
Some people are loners...Axl may be one. You read stuff about the early days, same thing. Same tendencies then as now. You take the good with the bad.

the CD promo blitz has started!
I would imagine Best Buy has to be happy about any press at all. But then again, I don't think I ever did see that "monumental campaign" they themselves promised...
Was in best buy today, they have a gazillion copies of CD... just sitting there.. They can't give the shit away.
Yeah, through all of this bickering back and forth Best Buy should be the ones who are pissed off. Whether it was Azoff or Axl's fault for the piss poor promotion, either way it hurt Best Buy after they shelled out the big bucks for the exclusive. If anyone deserves to sue, it should be them. Weren't they supposedly promised a music video? They never got that, or anything close to it.

They got hosed, and a ton of lp's in there as well.. Axl actually bitched at Best Buy too, he blamed for something as well a year or so ago.

Axl Rose Says Managers Had "Secret Plan" to REUNITE GUNS N' ROSES
The irony is, this just might play into Azoff/Slash's hand. "Plans to reunite GN'R" will spread like wildfire, Axl Rose being searched stays up there because of the TM/LN comments, and suddenly GNR's name is thrown around and people will start going "wait, I thought they were reuniting?"
Might just increase demand for a reunion over new Guns, if people actually know it was on the table short of just internet geeks bullshitting.
I know this most likely will never happen, but it'd be something if Axl came out on top of this battle with Azoff, THEN reunited with AFD/UYI GNR and made millions for all onboard with Irving in the distance wondering what could have been on his dime.
I understand that with Irv, Doc, or any future manager who works with GNR the big money lies in a reunion. But there's a particular way to go about things. If Axl says he's hell bent against a reunion, you don't push it. In fact, if Azoff believed deep down in his heart that new Guns couldn't succeed he should've put forth some token effort and then when/if they failed he may have been able to sway Axl a bit. Instead of this sabotage that Axl explains.
Of course that's only Axl's side of things. Maybe Irv did give it the old college try, but I doubt it.
What happened to Andy Gould? Does he get a pass on all this?

I don't think so. From what I remember Axl said that Best Buy had been great. He bitched about Universal US.

Well, there's something going on in terms of Axl vs people he worked with.
And that is really the only point I was trying to make. I understand Axl is Axl at this point and if he hasn't changed yet, he's not going to. There's something about working with people that causes issues for him, especially if Axl doesn't feel like he has complete control over the entire situation.
As I said before, I think it stems from being shit on a lot as a child and never wanting to go through that again. I can't say I blame him for that even if I don't like what happens as a result.

Re: Axl fires back at Irv with lawsuit
I just remembered, didn't Slash and Duff have to sue Axl a few years ago for some royalties that Axl kept and didn't pay the old guys? And I think they won that case. May have been 2005 or something.
