How Did You Derive Your User Name?

With a few exceptions, most of us use a created user name as our identity in the community. What is the origin for everyone's user name?

I have went by several names at various forums over the years (usually because I would forget my passwords and would have to come up with a new name by neccessity) but now try to stick to Gunslinger as much as possible. I decided to use this name for several reasons. The most obvious is the "Gunslinger" is my favorite character from my favorite work of fiction, Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Another reason was the play on words that was evident. Guns Linger (put together Gunslinger), as in they are still around (this was at a time I actually thought Chinese Democracy was new and exciting and "coming soon":! ) I also used to pass around quite a bit of GNR demos, outtakes, etc to fans of the boards I was on....thus 'Slinging some tunes around. This is something I hope to start again soon in the form of a daily upload thread here at GNRevolution.

Mine was simply a way to let the nutswinger faction at HTGTH know that I was generally negative, or 'realist' (as the arrogant negatives like to say), about the new band. Although I did go through positive phases it seems like a good enough username still. CC is a nice, easy abbreviation too. That's always a plus.

& it's the title of a song by jesse malin that I used to get seriously fucked up to. To this day I can't listen to the song unless I'm already fucked off my face
