Gnr #9 artist for catalog sales in US this year. They were #4 in 2008, #3 in 2007.
GH was 9th best selling catalog album in US for 2009.

Chinese Democracy was #55 on the Billboard 200 for the year. Better than I thought.

Axlin08 doesn't want to read that because it proves Gnr still has some relevance in the States. Thousands upon thousands of artists across the globe would love to be as FINISHED as Axl.
I'm curious if the exclusive deal with Best Buy is over. I think the exclusive was a mistake from a sales standpoint, although it sounds like GN'R received a nice amount of money upfront even without any sales taken into consideration.

Doesn't mean a thing. Thousands on top of thousands of artists would love to have just gotten as much attention as Justin Guarini.
A band on Guns N' Roses tier... that blows. Although it is higher than I would've expected.

Dude, i'm happy the band is out there and touring. I'm happy they're at least being somewhat active. I'm happy that there are GN'R fans worldwide, or at least in Taipei last night that had a pretty cool fuckin' time. I'm happy that Shackler's Revenge, If The World, and This I Love got played for the first time ever last night.
That's what i'm happy about as a fan.
But those album sales suck, always did suck, always will suck, and they sucked for a VARIETY of reasons. Lack of promo, hatred from radio DJ's, Universal dropping the ball, BB not giving a fuck... alot of reasons.
I'm glad Axl's back out there doing what he does best - sing/perform.

I'm with you....the sales were disappointing but they were not that bad in relation to the rest of the industry as it stands today. They certainly suck in comparison to the back catalog...no doubt.
Either way, Axl still makes his presence felt in the industry....through catalog sales and some sales from Chinese.
He had a good show today....a little scuffle in the airport....shit, we hadn't had this much action since the leaks!
