If he's claiming they aren't going to change engines, then the chances of this being released have went up from zero to 5%.
The story behind the making of this game is fucking bizarre. Its very similar to CD, although even more insane because more people want this released.
If this game ever gets released, its going to be HUGE. It will make the craze over Halo look like a drop in the bucket.

Hardly, sure it was a good game series, but when people think of great games "Duke Nukem" is hardly near the top of the list, unless you never played alot of games.
This probably wouldn't sell more than Final Fantasy XIII or GTA 4 or MGS 4.
The series wasn't even "Resident Evil" big.

Duke Nukem was massive in the mid/late 90's. Its a fact that the majority of hardcore gamers are adults. They remember it. It will sell. I don't even play games that much anymore, but I will definitely be checking that out when its released. I would be willing to wager that its release will cause an increase in console sales.
Sure, all the details surrounding the making of the game is a fucking joke just like Chinese Democracy is. But more people are interested in Duke Nukem than CD, and when Duke is released, it cant be sent out to everyone with a megaupload link. It will sell.

I don't know James, I mean, it'll sell to some extent, but I don't think this is near a Halo type buzz. Doom 3 is where they should be aiming, or Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It was just the slightly advanced sister version of the original Doom and Wolfenstein, and the popularity should be equal (although Duke Nukem has yet to endure a shitty movie that makes a mockery of the game) to those next generations.

I doubt they are aiming for Halo. I made the comparison, not them. Here's the thing with Duke--it went out when it was on top. Yeah people remember all the bullshit thats been endured since 97, but this game never endured a flop.
Had Resident Evil disappeared in the late 90's, you guys don't think there would be interest in a new one?? Cmon.
