aic opened for VR on their last tour...i don't know. if i went to a gnr/aic show, i cant say unequivocally that aic should be the opener. they are more fresh now than gnr and people take them more seriously.
And how many albums did the new AIC sell? Who exactly is taking them seriously?
That being said, AIC blew VR off the stage when I saw them in Atlanta. I think AIC is appropriate. Similar audiences...similar situations as far as band dynamics....no Slash vs no Layne but they still kick some ass. That would work. Outside of them, I really can't think of a good fit. Axl is too quirky and demanding. He is best left on his own. No opening act would be just fine with me. Just play some rocking tunes and hang out for an hour or so before it starts.

THEORY! Yes! That's one I couldn't think of, I'd be quite happy if it were them.

Crash Kelly opened when I saw Alice Cooper a few years back. Nice simple rock band. And Gilby produced their debut album, so that's a nice connection.
If it's Theory of a Deadman, Default, or Nickelback, I'm not going until 11. Seriously... rock fans actually like them? ugh. I'd rather see Justin Timberlake and Hanson do a set with Barbra Streisand.

Well, its obviously not my favorite band. Far from it. However, they need an act that can help put asses in seats, they will certainly do that job.
I understand that my friend but there are still rock bands that can do that. We do not have to go down that road...... yet.

Amazing how somethings would put asses in the seats. I would totally delay my arrival by 3 hours to skip Pussycat Dolls.
I saw Baz & Papa Roach in 2006, once. The next show, I showed up a few hours late. That's how impressed I was.
