You know who I want. 
She's mainstream, can fill every single empty section in the arena, and while she has played shows this year, currently does not have a tour scheduled. She's also gotta be one of the only openers who could guarantee fans buying tickets to multiple shows. Also, she does have a fan base in Canada as she has toured there twice. Would be even more successful here in the States, and the band could schedule large venues in major cities(LA, Frisco, NY, Chicago).
She would also bring more media attention to the tour.

Alice In Chains would be a great choice. Both have albums to promote, both albums are possibly the best rock albums of the past two years, not to mention the promo machine working with an AIC/GN'R double bill.
I just wish somebody would've envisioned it in 1993.

Why do you say that with such certainty? She's on the same label, is/was a fan, and at least Fortus and Ron are fans. She's also guaranteed to actually sell tickets, something that Baz could never do, yet he was on two tours.

aic opened for VR on their last tour...i don't know. if i went to a gnr/aic show, i cant say unequivocally that aic should be the opener. they are more fresh now than gnr and people take them more seriously.
