Max Payne. I never found the original wolfenstein to be a particularly interesting game. Sure, first hugely successful 3D engine, but gameplay worth next to nothing as far as I'm concerned. smile

Toughest round yet. I liked Wolfenstein and the Nazi/Zombie aspect was bold, but it was just a Quake clone at its core. Max Payne was brilliant though.

edit: This is a Wolfenstein game from eons ago that I never played. Still voting for Max Payne.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne - Storyline wasnt quite as good as the first, but the gameplay was better.

Wolfenstein easily!!

And Wolfenstein predates Quake, doesn't it? I loved that game, spent hours daily playing it, and WolfEdit 2.4 was a great piece of software, I made my own levels, wall designs, enemies, and you could download the levels and graphics others had designed as well. Hell, I have Wolfenstein on my iPod Touch, and I'd play it on my computer right now if I had it.

Like Crash Diet said. Storyline was a typical sequel, didn't recapture the aura of the original, but the gameplay was better and fun as hell.

In "GnREvolution Arcade Madness" fire represents death, when when you run out of life, it's game over, when the name is read, the decision is final and they must leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll go tally the votes.

Wolfenstein 3D, bring me your torch.
