Re: The Positive CD Thread
yeah i love that...axl's voice is so powerful and it's so musical at the same time. Kind of one of the awesome things about GNR overall, the raw power with the melodies intact....

Re: The Positive CD Thread
How people can say they butchered CITR baffles me, I love the album version of this song, it's fucking magic. That whole outro is amazing, lyrically fantastic and I love Rons playing behind it.

Re: The Positive CD Thread
Yeah the leak never grabbed me too much but I didn't give it too much of a listen due to the poorer quality compared to the other leaks. However I love the album version, the mood, the tone, the extra guitars all adds up to a really special track imo.
Re: The Positive CD Thread
I really hate it when he does that multi-vocal thing, and then lays it back over each other (KOHD & CD). It really adds nothing, and is almost distracting.
Imo KOHD is one of those songs that works so well live when they let us muggles sing, it;s always going to be a tough one to translate to recorded versions.
I got it on tape when it was on the Days of thunder soundtrack and I liked it plenty as a novel recording be but yeah not the best of GnR by a long means.
Re: The Positive CD Thread
Yeah, I listened to the studio cut last night, headphones blasting, just to see after 18 years, if I missed anything... nah.
It just can't be beat live. That cut on Live Era from the Freddie Mercury show, smokes it's ass, and as far as i'm concerned, is the definitive version of KOHD currently 'officially' out there.
