Re: Guns N' Roses New Myspace Bulletin
My guess Atari is that Axl has Del on the payroll as a full-time assistant, like Beta, and has for years, and Del pretty much handles that stuff on his own time when he feels he needs to pimp something, or drop an occasional line about GN'R.
Just like with Del being the one to go through all the DAT tapes back in 98/99 in order to put together Live Era.
Or as a 'road manager'/jack of all trades, for GN'R when they tour.

Re: Guns N' Roses New Myspace Bulletin
Funny..
Lisa Reed doesnt promote HER books through GNR or her husbands and yet a Del does ?
Mind this he bores me whilst I enjoy reading lisa's books.
I guess talent doesn't need to steal shadows or suns.
Sorry del James but your writing is like mine : all over the place
Re: Guns N' Roses New Myspace Bulletin
Del is most likely involved with GNR website doings. That's why he does it. I wouldn't be surprised if Del asked beforehand...like..a few years ago if he could use some GNR stuff to promote his work as a "thank you" towards his GNR work. And Axl agreed out of not really knowing what he agreed too. Just a theory. Or Axl doesn't know shit and this is just another one of those things which he doesn't control
Re: Guns N' Roses New Myspace Bulletin
We don't have a problem with Del James. We appreciated his tour blog, the little that was. We appreciate his novel for the November Rain.
But what he doesn't get is that promoting his stuff thru GNR will make any goodwill he had towards his person disappear with the blink of an eye.
To post stuff like that is inconsiderate, insulting, annoying and downright fucking rude.
Talk about being on a different planet than the GNR fans.

Re: Guns N' Roses New Myspace Bulletin
We all know that Axl surfs. As much as a control freak he is, I guess he visits his band's official site(s), too. But the stupid official posts 'bout stolen bikes and Del's signings just don't disappear, so it's intentional for sure. On the other hand one of the last things a GN'R webmaster would do is posting a Del James book signing. They don't even mention the musician's interviews, Q&As etc. Although Del James, Beta and Fernando seems to be more of a member of GN'R than Bumble, Fortus or Tommy.
