Actually the Myspace hits pretty much jives with album sales: 4 million hits and about 4 million albums sold. I don't think they would have accomplished anything by not streaming it. If anything it probably helped.

And WWE pays for the music, not the other way around.

It really sucks seeing how much better this thing could've sold.

So that's why they pimp the CDs after every break and give tons of advertising? They do that after THEY pay for the music? I doubt that.

What does 4 million hits have to do with 4 million albums sold? Streaming something at low-fi that people would have downloaded in hi-fi to check out if they wanted to? I think people heard the first 2 tracks, didn't hear the SCOM riff, and forgot about it.

Seems like a waste of money.

Uh, yeah, they pay for the licensing of the music and the added promotion is part of the deal. That's been going on for years on sports broadcasts... So... Yeah.

I only pointed out the myspace thing because people have used that as an example of "all the people" who streamed it and compared it to the albums sales, which isn't much of a difference between the number of people who streamed it and bought the album.

And you're not considering repeated listens to individual songs. On the main page (not the CD streaming album page) Sorry got more hits as the last track than This I Love got as #3. People had songs they liked more and listened to those songs more. Pretty simple. And that goes with the entire CD album streaming page as well.

NEW YORK -- A Goldman Sachs analyst removed Best Buy Co. from a list of preferred stocks on Monday and said the electronics retailer faces stronger competition from online and mass market retailers.

Analyst Matthew J. Fassler removed Best Buy ( BBY - news - people ) from the Americas Buy List and now has a "Neutral" rating on the stock.

While the company will gain business from Circuit City  ( CC -  news  -  people ), which went bankrupt earlier this year, Fassler said competition will be significant starting in 2010, especially from online competitors, such as Amazon.com Inc.  ( AMZN -  news  -  people ), and mass market retailers. Wal-Mart Stores Inc.  ( WMT -  news  -  people ), for example, has upgraded its brands and presentation, Fassler said.

"Electronics are well-suited to e-commerce given their information intensity," Fassler wrote in a client note. "The Web is a good source of insight on new and complex products."

Fassler also said that Amazon prices its products competitively, especially in televisions when compared to Best Buy.

Fassler's price target is now $43, from $41 previously, which implies shares have room to rise 5.7 percent from Friday's close of $39.75.

I personally think BB will be one of the 'deaths' of this economy. Even if they do make it out, they'll face massive restructuring and downsizing. CC is already dead.

WM is king, on everything, and have pretty much become king on media. I don't really understand why someone would walk into WM and buy an 'edited' album, but many do it for the prices, not the mention the low-priced DVD's.

More recent hits can be had for $15 or less. Bargain bins with top-tier films exist all the time in the $5 bargain bin, and the other day I picked up "There Will Be Blood" on DVD, a critically-acclaimed Oscar-darling from only two years ago, and it was sitting brand new at WM for only $3.50.

That isn't even counting the massive business, the "Red Box Rentals" machine gets with $1 a night DVD rentals at the front door.

With more and more music artists going with WM exclusives, WM's pretty much being in every other town in America... it's over.

CC died, BB will die, the independent music/movies record store died years ago, and WM will become the only non-internet outlet. People will develop an attitude of, "if Wal-Mart doesn't have it, i'll just buy it off the internet". Which alot already have. I do most of my DVD purchasing on the 'net, and have for the last several years.

This isn't even counting illegal downloads.

There Will Be Blood is an awesome movie....Daniel Day Lewis is the best in the business in my opinion.

I was at the mall this weekend, so I popped into my local BEST BUY to see how much they were selling Chinese Democracy for, and much to my surprise, they don't sell ANY audio CDs anymore.

Zip. Zero. Zilch.

Batman: Arkham Asylum looks like a pretty cool game, though.
