A new Hope IS starwars though. That movie is what got everyone on the planet into starwars well before empire and all the rest of it.

Not sure if you're being serious or not, but I've been wondering that same thing lately. First round of that album elimination drove the point home. Some people were voting more than twice, which obviously fucks with the results.
Might see if downliner can restrict noobs from voting. The people who participate have been around awhile. No sense in letting noobs or random lurkers come to the party and piss in our punch. 
I thought TV shows was next on tap?

Yeah, but we don't sit back and down The Dark Knight, saying Batman '89 IS Batman.
Things change, and sometimes sequels are better. Just like Aliens is better than Alien.
Empire Strikes Back, and imo, Return of the Jedi are both better than New Hope. I think Empire Strikes Back is actually more representative of the Star Wars story, because the family angle is revealed, and Yoda is in the film.
