Calling things an 'illness' takes away responsibility. These medical terms that get thrown around are a defense of Axl, even when used to discredit him. We'd rather not face the fact that he's a screw-up and will remain one, and that he doesn't care about us at all. So we pretend it's not his choice to treat us like shit. But it is. And he does. End of story.
Azoff should give up on him and move onto groups with potential if pushed properly.

is this a credible source? isn't this just some gossip rag?
either way, things are not moving along. i agree with the whole "axl does his own thing and has integrity" line being said on other sites currently in damage control mode. BUT, it sucks for the fans when it prevents us from experiencing the typical cycle most bands go through when they release an album (promo, videos, tours).
so we're getting the short end of the stick. the fans are the ones who suffer through all of this.

Meh, I can assure you that when I call him a psychopath, I'm not trying to take any responsibility away from him. He's an asshole and a psychopath, and I think it's a CHOICE he's made. Yes, I think you can choose to be sane or not.

Speaking more generally and not about Axl in particular:
People with mental problems feel things and experience events entirely differently to how a sane rational person does. So it would be a "choice" he makes in that his action directly causes an outcome, and, to a logical person no one made him make that choice. So we assign blame. However what actually motivated his choices is pressures and feelings that the logical person doesn't understand or experience but which remain VERY real to the chooser.

I agree. You cant help those that wont help themselves. No tour obviously, and the chances for a second album are pretty grim as well. Azoff should go try and get a Soundgarden reunion off the ground, and since M.I.A. recently mentioned Iovine liking her and "believing" in her, doesn't really know what to do with her. Get Azoff aboard that train. He should manage Lily Allen as well. That new album should have been massive.
