That's just bizarre. I don't know which is more bizarre, Ron going onto Hannity, or Hannity having on GnR's current guitarist??! (Who's not well known to the majority, 98%, of the public.

Strange, I don't anything about Ron politically, but I just find it odd Hannity went out of his way to obtain a member of this GnR of all people. Anyway, who were the other guests?  Did you recognize who they were?

It's not that odd; certainly here in the UK the news shows get all sorts of people in to discuss the news. Usually, there's one political pundit and a mainstream guest - some sort of entertainer, musician or whatever. This sounds like pretty much the same thing!

I cant remember the other two names, but one was a Democratic Strategist, and the other was a White House aide under Bush 43 I believe.

I agree PA. Its not odd to have a musician on there, someone like the Nuge would have been an obvious choice. But it was odd seeing Ron, who outside of these boards, is not well known, and he doesnt seem to be the most politically active musician out there. But more power to him!

I could have seen him on Rachel Maddow... But Hannity? 10

Who would have thought Ron would be the face of GNR.

Or mabye they are getting his face out there as the lead guitarist of GN'R in an attempt to familiarise him and its the beginnings of a new push to work the album.... I have a good feeling about June for GN'R juicys.

GNR "juicys" sounds like a type of fart.

I really like Ron's availability and approachability, and love what he did on Chinese Democracy-the song.

As an aside to piss off half the board, maybe he can be the inevitable reunion's Janick Gers.

Give us a resume faldor.  But I have a funny feeling that before you write the resume I could write here what he said regarding GNR and I'm pretty sure 90% of it would be right on the money.

Yeah it really didn't have a lot to do with GNR.  He was intro'd as and it appeared on the screen as "Ron Thal, Lead Guitarist GNR".  They played "Paradise City" going into the break before the segment started.  And Hannity mentioned at the beginning and the end for Ron to get Axl out of hiding, or out of his bunker, and get back out on the road.  Ron responded that they will and everything's good.  That was about the only GNR mentions.

The rest of the time was spent discussing the days current topics, which Ron spoke the least of the 3 guests.  But he fared pretty well, his opinions were respected.  I noticed the guy sitting between Ron and the other lady on the panel kept staring at Ron and smiling.  I don't know if he was looking for approval, was a fan, or just trying to make Ron feel at home.  Hannity tried to incorporate Ron and help him get some airtime.  Seems like he's at least a mild fan of GNR.  I don't know if he's friends or acquaintances with Ron.  It was quite surprising to see him on the show.  Actually the first thing he said to Ron was, "See if you can get Axl to come on this show."  And Ron told him he'd send him a text to see if he'd come on, and how he probably wasn't even aware he was on the show since he just updated his twitter about it a couple hours before.

It was cool to see him on there.  Strange, and no CD promotional tie ins or anything, but cool nonetheless.
