That I'd like to know.  And now if Ron is still with Axl and in his good graces, the good news is that this opens the door for a future collaboration between Axl and Duff and who knows maybe an appearance a la Izzy with Axl's GNR when or if they ever tour.  I hope Duff and Axl will now be able to talk to each other and perhaps clear some air.

I think people are reading too much into this and its ability to change anything.  It wont change shit, certainly not for Axl.  Axl does what Axl wants.
Im sure it was a great night and I would have given my left nut to be there, but I need em, both

Will it bring back Duff in GNR?  Most likely not.  But like I said.  I hope this clears the way for a collaboration between Duff and Axl and who knows maybe a few special appearances.  And most importantly maybe this will open the door to have both men sit down and clear the air.  Those guys at one point were friends and perhaps this will mend some broken bridges.

Thanks to rancid punks at MYGNR:

So, I thought this would raise some GNR Conspiracies for those with the time...

I went to The Gramercy Theatre show tonight to see Loaded (Which, holy shit they were fuckin GREAT! - THEY MADE A HUGE FAN OUT OF ME - and I'm not talking about the fact that I'm fat!!)

So aside from the fact that he did 3 of my favorite GNR tunes tonight (and they all sounded sweet as fuck!)

Toward the end of the set Duff gives this big introduction to a young talent who was going to come out and jam with them, low and behold... Ron Thai aka Bumblefoot.

In all honesty, I wasn't very impressed with Bumblefoot. He didn't seem on tonight. But it was cool anyway. And I thought the crazier GNR enthusiasts would think this makes Duff a step closer to AXL or some shit like that. lol

They proceeded to do a montage of covers which started with The Stooges, and went into Journey, ZZ Top, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and eventually back into The Stooges.

Really great show. Duff fuckin rocks. There was a great atmosphere, and usually at shows like this NYC crowds suck, but they were pretty cool tonight. There was a really lame pit at one point, but it was still funny. Duff talked alot in between songs, joked with the crowd and even poked fun at himself for everything from drinking too much redbull to screwing up the lyrics in "Dust N Bones" during the first verse.

Which brings me to the 3 GNR Tunes they did throughout their set (without Bumblefoot) were "Dust N Bones" "So Fine" and "It's So Easy"

Agreed, I don't for one second think this opens the door for Duff to return to Guns.  But I do think it makes it more possible that he could collaborate with Axl on a song, or make an appearance at a show like Izzy.  Axl said so much in one of those interviews, so this certainly doesn't take away from that.  The only one he's got severe problems with is Slash, and maybe Steven.  Obviously Izzy is in good graces and since Axl mentioned the possibility of working with Duff in the future I'm not sure why it's so crazy to see Bumble playing with Duff as a good sign.

Duff and Ron must be friends because this was obviously planned.  Anyone know how/when they became friends?

And although Axl had some good words for Duff, I think that if they could both sit down and talk honnestly to clear the air it would do them both good.  I'm sure that by talking they'd both see the other one's point of view and make things better.
